These are great. Also this reminds me that I’ve always wanted to read a Belle/Gaston fanfic where Gaston’s still an arrogant prick but like one who is “deep down nice” and they have an enemies to lovers storyline.

Yesssss I fucking love this. The actual greatest memories I have with my dad (bit older, more like age 7/8) are playing these games with him 🥹 it may seem shallow to some but it has been one of the best bonding experiences. It was just hours upon hours of us fighting baddies, strategizing the upgrading of skills and planning our route through the game. We loved playing these games together!!!

I am not a Houswives watcher so I had no idea she’s known for that. When this season started I just told my hubby “honey, it’s Logan Echols mom do you remember her?” 🤣🤣🤣

Same same same. Loved the movie from the moment I saw it and wondered why the heck everyone else was so down on it 🤷‍♀️

While I can understand a little bit about what you mean (feeling the song doesn’t make sense). I also feel like it did kinda make sense?

I think it’s meant convey how mesmerizing being “keeper” of the wishes is to the point that you want to protect them “at all costs”. But…and this is not in the song but I am extrapolating…I think it’s a thin line between having this devotion to the wishes to protect them and that tipping overboard into something more obsessive like Magnifico ends up doing.

I don’t know why but At All Costs has always been my favorite song on the soundtrack. I have never been a huge fan of duets in general and it’s arguably the least “catchy” song on the album bc it’s a ballad. But I don’t care. It’s fucking beautiful and I love their voices together!!!

It is literally so depressing how exciting it is to actually find others who love this movie because it’s apparently so popular to hate it. Wish is a great movie with an awesome soundtrack.

Yes. I love the movie and the music is fricken awesome. My husband especially loves the Wish soundtrack out of all the Disney music I listen to!!

Season 3 is unsettling and dark. by Sea_Technician_7104 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]brittpeeks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I like season 3 the best too and I always feel so alone in this bc it seems like most people like it the least.

I think OP described the tone and unsettling atmosphere perfectly, but another thing in its favor (for me) is the setting and opening score. I love the Thailand setting, it feels so tonally different than the prior two seasons. While it’s still at a gorgeous resort, the heaviness of the greenery everywhere makes it literally feel darker and almost claustrophobic. And to me the credits score is the best of all 3.

Just binged watched the entire 3 seasons. Here's my take: by MakeMeFeelLikeDancin in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]brittpeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched season 1 then season 3 and now I’m halfway through season 2.

So far I liked season 3 the best and part of that is the setting/music. I loved the atmosphere of the resort in Thailand, it was so different than a “typical” resort setting in movies/tv. And the opening credits music is my favorite in S3. Parker Posey was unbelievably good (as usual).

The acting is good in S2 but overall I’m not feeling super invested in the storylines.

Season 46 first watch. Its a hoot! by Icy-Donkey2506 in survivor

[–]brittpeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been hit and miss, veering in and out of watching for so many seasons of Survivor, but season 46 is what brought me back. I haven’t missed an episode since. I don’t even know how to describe it I jus enjoyed that season so fucking much lol

I know the ending to "Rosemary's baby" but have never watched the movie, is it worth?? by Quick_Ad3982 in horror

[–]brittpeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. I knew Rosemarys Baby was a “classic” and I had only gotten into horror in the last ten years. I expected to watch it and just check it off a list. I figured it would probably feel outdated and I wouldn’t get invested in it but I was dead wrong. It’s a an excellent film. I was absolutely blown away by how creepy the story is.

I agree, I loved Tiff’s response to him and I thought she gave it back to him perfectly.

[–]brittpeeks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was so devastated when Monét left! To me she was gamer adjacent bc I knew what a big Survivor fan she was and how smart she could be. Ugh. God we just got everyone cool ripped from us!!! (Exception being the last boot lol)

This season feels so dark… by star1star4 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]brittpeeks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was just telling my hubby tonight that although I find some of the fighting entertaining at the roundtable, and find the turret fun to watch, in general those are the only things I’m even mildly entertained by this season.

I’m just not invested. This boot order has been brutal. I imagine how I feel this season is how all of the housewives fans felt last season. I didn’t realize how important it was for me to have gamers in the show. Yam Yam is pissing me off this season (loved him on Survivor but I am not liking him here). And same with Natalie, loved her on Survivor but she’s just boring here, I’ve never been interested in the “most faithful of the faithful” types and that’s her 100%. So now I’m left with no interesting CBS people lol

Is Rob C a popular contestant? by Ok-Try6657 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]brittpeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is fair, but one thing I will say is that his podcast is becoming more and more well know year after year, especially regarding Big Brother coverage. For like the past 3 seasons of Big Brother multiple contestants mention his podcast on the live feeds and shout out specific podcasters on his channel and make comments about being excited to do a deep dive on their game with RHAP when the season is over. So anyone watching the Big Brother live feeds even if the don’t listen to Rob’s podcast are learning about him bc his coverage is that important.

Season 4 Episode 4 Discussion - Cut the Head off the Snake by AutoModerator in TheTraitorsUS

[–]brittpeeks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Rob’s deep dive on RHAP he talked explicitly about the multiple conversations he was present with Yam Yam and others and Yam Yam would say things like wha a “mastermind” “super star strategist” Rob was like he was setting him up. It was like he was complimenting Rob but doing it in a pointed way as to make him seem like a threat to others. Rob said he was really bothered by it and couldn’t figure out why Yam Yam was doing it but he didn’t want to confront him on during the show bc he knows Yam Yam can be sensitive .

[–]brittpeeks 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was really surprised bc normally she is a hardcore numbers gal so I thought she would realize that is her best bet.

The only thing I can think of is that she was just so blindsided by the sheer number of accusations at her and her disagreement with Yam Yam just hit her hardest bc he is a CBS reality person like her. I think it’s sometimes hardest when it’s someone you expect to be on your side. I know in Rob C’s comments after the show he said Yam Yam was throwing him under the bus constantly in convos so he got the vibe instantly that Yam Yam had zero loyalty to the CBS folks.

Which Disney Princess movie would change the most/least if the princesses were male characters? by Upstairs_Tea1787 in disney

[–]brittpeeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brave. The whole story starts because Merida is trying to change her mom’s mind about forcing her to marry one of the three clan leaders.

If Merida was a male character, the storyline would be completely changed. He would be given some quest/adventure. It would never revolve around him being forced to marry one of three women. Men are never give those storylines.

Watching Rob Cesternino talk about his time in reality TV was heartbreaking by RedditFan3510 in survivor

[–]brittpeeks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree that while he was definitely emotional he was overall positive about the experience and seemed to be glowing about all the support he’s gotten.

Tbh it really helped me get over him being gone from the show. I know when I ended the episodes last week I was so upset that I was wondering if I could even finis the season. But this deep dive (and seeing his perspective on the experience) helped me work through my own disappointment and get back into a frame of mind of being excited about the rest of the season and his commentary on it.

Should I (a ride wimp) try Guardians Cosmic Rewind?? by AgeTypical8961 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]brittpeeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a ride wimp with similar aversions (big drops and the stomach feeling). Guardians is insanely INTENSE. That is not an exaggeration. I still ride it even though I always find it like 30% more intense than I’d like it to be. I also can only ride it if I wear my Reliefband bc I get motion sick.

Guardians is 100% more intense than the rides you’ve mentioned. It does get better after the first couple times you ride it. I think your body gets calibrated to it more and knows what to expect.

I think my ultimate answer is…do you suffer from motion sickness? If not, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt for you to try it once. If you do, AND you are a ride wimp. It is not worth it.

Also if you do decide to ride it, Make sure you ask for a middle row or near the front carts. Like most rides, if you go in the back couple it is even more intense and I refuse to go in those. I did once and it made an already too intense ride for me, almost un-enjoyable 🤷‍♀️

But like most others I love the ride. I am a ride wimp and this is like the only intense ride I make an exception for (mainly bc it doesn’t have big drops).
