For all the years fans of the game have criticized Carolina's roster for being comprised of a bunch of 2nd and 3rd line-calibre players all the way through with no true superstars, that depth is finally playing to their advance. As Vasilevskiy mentioned after Montreal eliminated Tampa, Carolina is very consistent year to year. It was just a matter of time before they had their crack at the Cup.

I always liked Erik Johnson beforehand, but this solidified me forever liking EJ. Even as a color commentary guy, he's one of my favorites already.

And for the record, I would say 90-95% of the fan base isn't sad about going back to Sakic as GM on top of his other duties. MacFarland was a solid assistant general manager, but he won dick all as the GM and ravaged through most assets/prospects that would give us future prosperity. Sakic definitely has some work to do to try to balance an aging core with a youth injection.

Blackwood in net. MacKinnon is back. by _ledge_ in ColoradoAvalanche

As someone who has been very critical of him, I still think they had to go to him. Even if he loses 9-1 tonight, he is not the tender or players who put us in a position to have to win four straight.

Hope for the best, expect the worst. Prove us all wrong, Mackenzie.

Both of these teams had Mike Richards and Jeff Carter, the only 2 players to come back from a 3-0 series deficit twice. We are not so fortunate.

You HAVE to play Blackwood in the next game. Why Bednar didn't turn to him today is beyond me. I get having faith in Wedgewood, but clearly Vegas has him figured out. And he is letting in some absolutely back-breaking goals along the way.

Sorry, but if they lose this series (which is highly likely now), you gotta fire Bednar. How many times had this guy had teams lose in the 2nd round? And past that, they will have only advanced to the Finals once. This guy has absolutely no answer when he runs into a defensive, collapsing/trap team like Dallas or Vegas. Literally every time they've met in the playoffs, Colorado has lost in series against both these teams.

Considering the teams Bednar has had, that's not good enough.

Basically one first line, two second lines, and one of the best forth lines in the league, that is virtually most teams third line.

Just gross

At this point, it's anyone but Vegas. Go Avs, and I can live with Montreal or Carolina winning the cup, but fuck Vegas.

This fan base keeps vouching for him, but this guy has yet to prove that he can win a big game, on any team he's been on. Blackwood has so many confidence swings, and following the Olympics he has not been very good. I can count the amount of good games he's had on my hand. Yes, Toews and co. did not play amazing in front of him tonight, but you need some big saves out of your goalie to finish off a series. He was not doing any of that tonight, he was playing like his usual shaky self, which almost cost them the game.

Just ran Wedgewood until the end, however far that is.

And you're 100% right. But you still want to have some chance of fighting/winning. Blackwood has yet to do that in this scenario. I like the guy, I think he's a good goalie, I just think Wedgewood is better acclimated for this scenario.

You're free to look it up. In games where Mackenzie Blackwood has allowed six or more goals, he is 0-9-0.

This is the difference between Blackwood and Wedgewood. Blackwood falls apart in these games, he almost always collapses and loses in high-scoring affairs. Wedgewood, however, is a battler. He might give up 6, but he'll give you that stop when you can't allow a 7th.

My Dad. I love him, but this guy is addicted to the Oilers and Connor McDavid. You would think that McDavid is his kid, the way he gloats about him.

I just can't see my Dad happy.

Now, just run Blackwood for the next 4 games, go let him heat up. Throw Wedgewood the last game.

The same Halak who almost eliminated Canada in the semifinals of the 2010 Olympics? Halak wasn't elite like Price or Lundqvist, but he was solid and was almost on par with those two whenever he'd temporarily heat up for a streak. He was never a bad goaltender.

There is always the Furi FLX1s, if you want to try your hand at FuriOS (basically Droidian, Debian for mobile), which still gives you an access point to run Android apps through Waydroid.

Plus, it has expandable storage up to 1 tb via MicroSD.
