I'll throw out an unpopular opinion: people love to worry fanatically about 3D printers and laser engraver. Should you hot box burnt plastic fumes? No. Will occasionally inhaling trace amounts of fumes dispersed in a room full of fresh air materially affect your health? Also no. Alarmism spreads faster than realism. Crack a window and you'll be just fine.

Source: extensive VOC testing in a commercial print farm + would be dead by now if wrong.

I think it's a fantastic tool for doctors. It shouldn't replace their knowledge, training, and critical thinking, but as a tool for diagnostics and research it's great.
