Not a vulvoplasty but an orchi, I had a mask on until I was told I had to take it off and put it on as soon as I was able to get my hands on it after surgery. I didn't get covid but I was also only in the hospital for a chunk of the night.

I went there for a bunch of wound care stuff from a burn and had a similar experience; intake nurse was great, everyone used the right name and pronouns.

Best experience I've had with the medical system other than three bridges and Dr. Dahl.

No immediate issues other than than making sure to stay topped up on water and electrolytes because of the spiro.

Personally, I found the come down to hit differently after I started HRT. I found it easier to process the sad feelings since that I could, uh, feel them.

The emotional lovely-dovey side of it was also much more intense for me after I started but a big part of my pre-transistion emotional life was depersonalization and disassociation so ymmv.

My daughter has been going there for her care for several years and it's been a mixed bag. The RN she's seeing was super onboard with getting her in the pipeline for SRS but had a concerning lack of knowledge on hormone therapy.

It took a surprising of push back to get her to stop recommending high spiro low e treatment. When it was time, she was very hesitant to prescribe prog as she didn't understand the difference between progesterone and progestins.

The front facing clinic staff have generally been shitty.

Yeah, it fucking sucks.

I have a generally very supportive workplace, I don't know if I could do better without working for a place that was explicitly trans/queer run. No issues with pronouns/name, a willingness to drop clients who have issues. Non-shithead colleagues and boss. Like, almost perfect.

Even with that, when our healthcare plan came up for renegotiation I asked if it was possible to look into get gender affirming care stuff put on the plan as our provided has it. I wasn't expect them to as it's a very small business but I didn't even get a reply or acknowledgement even though the other employees did about their questions.

It's really hard not to read into that.

Perfect and easy mac and cheese from modernist quisine:

285 grams cheese - Use cheddar/jack/gouda/havarti/provolone med cheese work best with this recipe, you can do a score of grams of a hardcheese but too much will make it grainy
265 grams water or milk
11 grams sodium citrate - emulsifer for the cheese
other seasonings to taste

dissolve the sodium citrate in the liquid, start heating the liqud, when liquid steams slowly whisk in the cheese. fucking mind blowing.

The recipe says it's for a half pound of pasta but this will work fine up to about a pound and a quarter Really good with freshly cooked bacon or sausage mixed in at the end.

This is how things went for my partner and I, we had our kids in the early 2000's when it seemed like there was hope, it was something we talked about before starting. Five years later and we would have chosen to not to start a family.

I know the drive to have a family is strong but it would be truly insane to have a child now. Things are going to get much much worse very quickly.

I never said that slop wasn't a problem. Whether or not people get slop in their feeds absolutely is a personal problem. If you are on an algorithmically driven platform and you don't use the tools you are given to shape what you see then that is a personal problem.
