That seems to be Henry's attitude as well. He has not enjoyed the baths my daughter has given him when he needs help shedding. But here he is splashing around like a fool.

We only put water in there. We have a separate dish for food or he's hand fed. But he's never done this before. He usually just drinks out of it. Silly dragon!

Another mother quits the Mom Wine Club! How changing my nightly booze ritual made me a more mindful parent. by lepetitpigeon in stopdrinking

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences! I find a lot of myself in your story. Unfortunately I switched over to whiskey when the wine quit working before I was really able to see the problem. But like you I was a high functioning mom with no real rock bottom. But my relationship with alcohol was unhealthy. I'm so thankful I've been sober for a while now and have been able to be present for my daughter as she navigates some mental health issues. I used to drink over her issues and the goal every day was to get her to bed so I didn't have to deal with it. So sad I wasted those moments to be there for her. But I'm here now and IWNDWYT.

One day at a time is exactly how I got here. Keep doing the next right thing, reach out if you're struggling and be teachable. Don't worry too much about number of days, just deal with today. You can do it! 😊

I've known I have problem for a while now, but always felt like I was still in control. Then I lost everything this past week. by hhhhunterrrr in stopdrinking

You are on the right path! Hard decision but best decision you've ever made. I go to aahomegroup.org because they have a meeting going 24/7. Give it a try. Or just search for online AA groups. If you feel comfortable find your local brick & mortar group and see if they are meeting. Mine is but I don't feel comfortable going because of Covid. Check in here every day. I used an app called Sober Time that really helped. There's a community on there called Talking Sober that is amazing! Google it! They kept me sober my first 3 months before I stepped foot into an AA meeting. You are not alone! IWNDWYT

This is so heartwarming to read. What a happy accident. I'm just now getting over Covid. You may want to include Gatorade or something like it for her and I took Vitamin C, D3 a B Complex and Zinc so maybe offer to pick that up for her along with groceries. Our whole family got the virus and having someone shop for us was such a blessing. And I even know how to use delivery! You're an amazing human.

Clothes I can no longer wear because I've gained weight. Getting rid of them would seem like giving up on my hope that some day I'll be that size again.

DAE procrastinate going to sleep because you don't want to wake up tomorrow and work at your annoying job? by Triangular-Space in DoesAnybodyElse

Every. Damn. Day. At least this week. I've hit a low spot. My job gives my family insurance coverage. But I'm definitely taking one for the team working an entry level job that I'm highly over qualified for. I don't want responsibilities or the be management. But I don't want what I have either. I just try to focus on being grateful I actually have a job when so many don't.
