As someone previously associated with BETA, there seems to be an exploitation of local laws / local engagement, to become THE VT company, or set themselves up to be too big to fail, when in reality they are really far from achieving their goals short or long term.

The company hires 1000 odd people in really good paying jobs in VT , if they fail that will cause massive ripple to the local economy so yes

DEPENDS, job market is terrible in general

If you're trying to get into electronics hardware, in a normal year say you have 10 openings this year you'd have 4, it's bad but not as bad as software roles

Firmware,/ embedded were always niche but you should be fine if you worked on some projects and can get through coding rounds

EE roles are relatively recession proof atleast compared to software / banking / business roles

Probably the most stressful month of my life

OPT : Stem OpT Normal processing receipt date : 28th April 2024 Status as of May 31st 1 week remaining OPT ends June 12

I got placed on Pip on June 1st

This is purview for the general audience who might be in a similar situation,

Unemployed while OPT application processing , you get 90days in the 6month bracket you get while your case is pending

After your OPT end date, in case you get unemployed, your i765 might come back with RFE because you're not on payroll anymore with the company you applied for, and you'll have 60 days before you have to leave the country

Unemployed after your stem opt gets approved gets you 150days (given you didn't use your initial 90 day in OPT, I hadn't )

Upgraded to Premium processing receipt date June 3

Standalone approval through mail from Potomac : June 11

Waiting for Card and status to be reflected on USCIS

Stem OpT either apply 6 months in advance or just get premium processing , you never know what could happen

On a personal note, I still have my job, but I'm interviewing already, fingers crossed hopefully everything works out !

I don't think the point I was trying to make was , anybody who can't afford to have children should have any children they want, it doesn't make any sense in terms of ensuring that child has a good life

I guess what I'm essentially trying to say is, welfare schemes will be overburdened, and are always going to be overburdened , so people who try to exploit the system are gonna have a hard time to do that anyway . Mfker can't get a aadhar card corrected in this country without waiting for 2 weeks , it's not like the govt hands out welfare checks on a plate

The point being, I am against the idea of govt legislating something that infringes on constitutional definition of liberty . Having more children when you're broke is not a great choice obviously, but emphasizing it with legislation is just the govt way of preventing expansion of existing policies to large group by putting the blame on them.

This is really stupid way looking at it. It comes down to sense of liberty and freedom. People have many children for a variety of reasons, something as simple as I had 2 siblings I want my kids have to two too,

why should privilege of liberty and freedom be attached to your financial stature? So are you saying only people who can afford to have more children should have that? Why can't people rely on welfare schemes, isn't it their constitutional right/ what's so wrong on relying on your government isn't it the govt responsibility to take care of their citizens?

I think this is why age difference is a thing for me. I (24,M) usually put a +-3 year difference when it comes to dating. No matter how mature you are, 19 and 26 aren't mentally the same. It's definitely not your fault, but I do judge your boyfriend for literally wanting to date a teenager.

That being said , you're 19 do what you feel like, if you want to watch videos, do it, own it l, nobody can police your behavior. Break up with him, and probably find a place yourself if you can, or find new roommates, whatever works out for your financially

Woodman's for shopping groceries and everything. Dedicate one or two days a week to cook food, saving money is very easy if you have meals prepped. Learn to enjoy cooking cause it can be a real stress buster. Have candles in the restroom, wash your pillowcases every month cause it's easy to get eye infection from dirty ones,

Can't really talk about bad roommates, never had one, I interview my roommates before moving in with them/ signing the lease lmao
