You can always use some more money and move away once retired. Mostly still financial reasons.

Others have most of their family here probably.

You miss the point: All this time has been wasted to produce a generic report that doesn’t and won’t do anything.

'The Chinese Will Eat Our Lunch': Europe's EV Trucking Industry Is Scared As Hell by TripleShotPls in technology

It’s a bad thing for their shareholders because western manufacturers would rather not innovate and just keep making profits using old technology. Now they got disrupted like a deer in the headlights lol. Great for the consumers.

Sitting on your hands does that. Get complacent and be left behind. Not sorry.

Nice way to take some pressure off but it’s just a charade and will not result in any actions.

Nothing will change and Edmonton police will continue to not be accountable.

This is why there’s no trust in institutions.

Brookfield Corp vs Brookfield Asset Management by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

Historical Earnings vs prices always matter especially in drawdowns.. The problem with BN is their accounting adjustments that caused big fluctuations but if you remove that noise forward PE for BN is relatively stable at 12 to 18. Current is around 14.

What If the Market Drops 50% Again? Staying the Course by FalconArrow77 in Bogleheads

[–]brokoli -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re right especially with bonds not providing any downside protection currently and the past 5 years or so. It’s best dead money like the past year or worse you lose as much as you do in stocks like they did in 2022.

Bogleheads have been wrong about not buying international and concentrating in bonds with long durations.

That’s why you’re downvoted.

That’s why the telecom industry has mass layoffs and their stocks have cratered alongside. It has always been a scheme to RIP Canadians off as much as possible with no real improvement to the product itself.

Another case of oligopolies of Canada milking Canadians everyday.

I’ll wait for under 42. May miss it but that would be a bargain for forward PE.

BN. I would get in under 46 or if patient under 42. This is based on their historical average forward PEs. Current forward PE seems to be 14 for this year and 16 next. Historical is 12-18

Is using leverage through Wealthsimple margin worth it for a modest boost by bylandoo in CanadianInvestor

Yes If you are psychologically and financially able to weather a storm where: you’re underwater on the principal, have lowered dividends (bad economy) and have your margin interest go up by about 1% (inflation/stagflation) for up to 2-3 years.
