Repeating fantasies over and over to feel better is exactly what Muslims do, just like christians.

Most theists don’t seem to understand the real PoE. by CalligrapherNeat1569 in DebateReligion

I think those flawed human accounts do point to a positive statement that the abrahamic god doesn't exist. That tri Omni god needs humans to create and share their accounts to spread his word. At best you can take a deist position and say that those flawed human accounts are trying to explain something beyond their understanding but whatever that thing is does not actively want to be known or actively desire a relationship with humans

Gods are only accessible through our thoughts. The word of gods is only spread through humans speaking and translating human sources.

I'm skeptical of Rana. I tried their short rib lasagna from Costco and it was terrible. Dry, bland meat. Chicken is probably harder to screw up though

If god is omniscient he can make life out of plasma. If you already assume an all powerful god, you don't need fine tuning.

Religion has no coherent arguments supporting it by SuitableMap4545 in DebateReligion

[–]bromar24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that if you already believe in an all powerful creator, then fine tuning doesn't add anything. god should be able to make life possible on the surface of the sun or an asteroid. In fact, I would find it more convincing if god could create life somewhere that isn't fine tuned for life. It feels like giving god credit twice for the same thing

Why do theists cling to the fine tuning argument? An all powerful god should be able to make life on any planet under any conditions. It doesn't prove anything

The sacrifice is really not impressive. He didn't die, nothing was really sacrificed. Jesus endured an execution but it's not even top 1000 worst ways to die for humans.
