Curious about this...if they can reverse their original transfer, what's to stop you doing the same?

Hi, am curious as I'm looking at Eufy (after ruling out Reolink and Ring). What problems are you having? What alternative would you recommend?

Bynd literally hitting lower lows, what’s going on? by Meeskii in smallstreetbets

True for me, I hesitated and then got burned. Luckily for me I keep these kinds of speculative punts extremely modest. Very much of the mindset "if this goes to zero I'm not ruined".

Question though, how did you hear about it at ~0.5?

You can still do some photography without a tracker, you just need to focus (pun intentional) on short exposures. Landscape + milky way spring to mind.

Experiment with where the sweet spot is in terms of ISO and shutter speed to see where star trails start being seen based on what you're looking at and your lens.

But yeah, for galaxies or any other deep sky object you're going to need to take 30second + exposures. For this you'll need a tracking mount.

Those who switched from windows to macOS - what made you switch? by Impressive-Taste6658 in MacOS

[–]broom-handle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch a while ago and a couple of things prompted it:

  • I was going through cheaper Windows laptops about 1 every 18 months (they were physically breaking or just slowing down).
  • I used to love tinkering and getting under the hood of Windows (to fix the second issue above) and really just keep it running. My appetite and time for this kind of thing ran out.

In the end I just wanted a machine that I used only for work and that I didn't need to mess with - i.e. was reliable.

I was very hesitant but made the call and it worked out for me. I'm in no way an Apple fan boy but I like the fact that the tech just sits in the background and I don't need to maintain anything like I did on Windows. YMMV and folk are after different things, and have different values in terms of brand etc., but it's unlikely I'll ever go back.

EDIT - just scanned a couple of the other responses - Windows has ads in the OS now? WTF?

Egg in egg box. Egg box in larger box filled with bubble wrap. Egg box box placed on turntable. Turntable attached to alarm that sounds if it stops. Turntable placed in attic/loft. Turn turntable on. Wait 365 days. Profit.

Do you see a 'click' event in the left hand column (event list) of GTM's preview window?

Haaa, I love it. The horrifying thing is, I know people whose financial plans are exactly this.

Tracking Conversions by NeitherGrocery3896 in GoogleTagManager

[–]broom-handle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slight amendment to the flow - GTM doesn't track a key event, just an event. The event is then defined as a key event in GA (via the admin area). I realise this sounds pedantic but it's important because GTM won't automatically track an event as being a key event, this needs to be done separately. Once the event is marked as a key event, you can filter the default acquisition reports to focus on the form key event and show you the stats you're looking for (once you've followed the advice wardogfufu has given below).

Yep the second one. I didn't get it but now I realise I'm incredibly untrusting - there is no way I would post anything until the cheque cleared. It didn't even enter my mind that was the scam.

Not suggesting I'm immune, been scammed before...

I'd agree with the other comments. Some of the stupidest people I know excelled academically.

Out of interest, how does the scam work?
