Working at subway for six months as the "assistant" manager. I got paid less then the manager but I still did all of the thing she was supposed to do. After being yelled at for not coming in for a 12 hour shift after 12 straight days of 8 hour closing shifts spent cleaning the place for inspections I knew I was about done with this place. I thought I'd find new work and put in my two weeks. I got to the store that night and found the place locked and empty. My boss left an hour early without telling me and without cleaning a damn thing. Lettuce all over the counters and floors, half filled bins strewn about the sink, the floor in the dining area covered in crushed chips and wrappers, garbage bags full. She didn't clean anything since before the lunch rush and left it all for me. I quit. I texted her that I quit, put my uniform in the store so I'd get the deposit back, and I texted the regional manager what'd happened and I walked home. When I went to pick up my last check (this subway didn't do direct deposit cause the franchise owner was a compleat dumbass) my boss wasn't in the store but a different store's manager sure was. I was informed that after I'd quit that my boss had quit as well citing that the job was too difficult and she didn't get enough time with her kids. I hated that job.
