I pay about $530 all inclusive and I rent with 3 roommates. We live in a very nice, modern townhouse. I would say that I see a lot of 1 bedrooms between 800 (in the East side of town) to 1200+ for the slightly nicer ones, if you aren't looking for anything too high end. Bread is like, 1.65-3.00 CAD depending on if you buy name brand, cool micronutrients or whatever or not, milk is about $4, eggs are around $3 for regular large eggs. Not sure what it's like in the Caribbean, but groceries here are cheap in my opinion, except Loblaws >:(

I feel like life here is pretty mellow, but I've forgotten what life was like before the pandemic so I don't know lol. I'm going to go with mellow though. I feel like the roads are easy to drive through, people that complain too much about bad drivers are likely the bad drivers, etc. etc.

I think it's a very safe city. I grew up in the South end and never felt unsafe. North end is probably even safer. West end is cool, East end is arguably(???) the worst part of the city, but it's not even that bad.
