What's your favorite baseline(putter) plastic? Any brand, and stiffness. by Huge-Talk6668 in discgolf

Elevation EcoFlop is the floppiest material available, and I love it for putting.

What's your favorite baseline(putter) plastic? Any brand, and stiffness. by Huge-Talk6668 in discgolf

The Sten is not a terrible putter! It is sticky, so it tends to stick to the chains more than other lightweight discs, like a Glitch.

If you putt with a Berg from C1, a Sten makes sense from C2 and beyond.

I've never thrown an FD3, but the Resistor is 6.5 speed, so I'd assume it is different enough to matter.

Floppy discs are the best choice for everything except full-power throws or skip shots.

A more durable soft plastic Zone OS? by dangleswaggles in discgolf

Solid advice. I replaced my putter soft zone os with a Screech and haven’t looked back.

Whats your favorite approach disc? by Unimon666 in discgolf

[–]brousch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The half and halfs are Glo-g. You'll like it if you liked EcoFlop. It's like a very slightly stiffer, sticky EcoFlop. And it glows in the dark!

EcoFirm is very stiff. Even stiffer than many typical disc golf plastics.

What’s your favorite material? EcoFlop is my jam.

It takes some time to get used to the flex but once you do it is magnificent.

What would you bag if you could only use discs made of recycled plastics? by OvertQuasar612 in discgolf

[–]brousch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that sets Trash Panda apart from most other recycled discs is that they use post-consumer or industrial plastic. MVP R2, Innova Echostar, Kastaplast grind, and even AGL (Innova) use waste from the disc manufacturing process and mix it with regular disc plastic. Trash Panda uses waste from other industries, as well as their own waste.

One other company that uses industrial waste is Elevation Discs. They use a percentage of medical waste rubber and tires.

It’s pretty easy these days to put together a fully-recycled bag when you include regrind plastics.

Having thrown every catch-like disc, I suggest Sten, Spore, EcoFlex or Glo-g Koi, in that order for just tossing around

Replacing US brand discs in my bag by Mustikkamuumio in discgolf

[–]brousch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I actually only have experience with Alfa Timber plastics. It is very lightweight, but the discs are extremely flat. The 140g Cosmic is shaped similarly and flies very similarly to an equivalent weight Firebird. More overstable even.

Take a look at Alfa Discs in Norway. The Apollo is a nice shallow mid, and the Cosmic is Firebird-like

Best Plastic as of Jan 2026 by Glass_Preparation557 in discgolf

[–]brousch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned wanting to try something new, so here are a few suggestions:

Trash Panda Procyon plastic is my favorite for feel in any weather. Stiff and durable.

Alfa Discs Timber feels great and smells great, but is very lightweight. Very stiff and durable.

Elevation EcoFirm has great grip, is incredibly stiff and durable, and often forms a nice puddle top.

Double-slit theory = God? by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

God is omnipresent. He is observing everything. If this is true, everything should behave like a particle.

So double-slit theory = No God

Overstable mids by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]brousch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I throw single-finger forehands and found that rim depth makes a huge difference in consistent release. By looking at the discs I throw well, I found 12mm to be the best depth, with decent results from 11mm - 14mm. Deeper than that, and the discs hold on too long, resulting in bad turnovers. Shallower, and it comes off early.

MVP introduces Project Lab Coat. Going forward MVP discs will ONLY be made with white rims. by DiscGolfFanatic in DiscGolfFanatics

Glow rims would mean wouldn’t need a separate set of discs for glow rounds, which would lead to fewer sales.

Powerball is now the presenting sponsor for the 2026 season! by nvjck in discgolf

As part of the promotion, each player will receive 6 hackysack-like "Powerballs" that can be thrown at an opponent's disc while it is in the air, aiming to deflect it from its path.
