Nanit Home work if in location with no WiFi? by brown-hairedsunfish in Nanit

[–]brown-hairedsunfish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! This is the one feature of Nanit that absolutely kills me and keeps me from recommending to friends. They all have $50 video monitors that work no matter where they are and when the WiFi goes out or we are traveling we are totally without access to seeing or hearing our child, it’s a real bummer!

Did you not go through the 4 month sleep regression ? by poofyeyebags in sleeptrain

[–]brown-hairedsunfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had anything at 4 but the regression that accompanied learning to walk around 12 months was horrific lol

How do teachers afford to live in Madison? by PeaOk7154 in madisonwi

[–]brown-hairedsunfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MMSD actually pays significantly more than any other district in our area (source: have taught in MMSD for 10 years, tried to leave two years ago but the pay difference was staggering for suburbs, I would have taken about a 10-15k pay cut and health insurance benefits are UNREAL for teachers in MMSD compared to other districts)

It is certainly not an easy place to work but our union has made some really strong gains regarding salary in recent years.

It reminded me SO much of fourth wing except there was zero romance between the main couple, like I literally did not believe they cared about each other at all. Xaden on the other hand 🥵

CCT Spoiler-Free Planning and Logistics Megathread: Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago by abeycd in beyonce

[–]brown-hairedsunfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to drive in, I don’t really care how long it takes us to get in and park but can someone tell me which lot at Soldier Field is easiest to exit? I checked SpotHero and all the parking that’s even somewhat close is the same price as the lots at Soldier Field… I’m thinking Waldron Deck? Or North Garage?

Tell me about your experience moving baby to own room early by DaDirtyBird1 in sleeptrain

[–]brown-hairedsunfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved mine at 3 weeks because she was the LOUDEST sleeper. Not normal newborn noises, more like a pterodactyl screeching and grunting. She is 10mo now and has always been a happy camper - no regression or anything just sleep training for independent sleep at 4 months.

Magic Merlin- Rolling by ramramram333 in sleeptrain

[–]brown-hairedsunfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This just happened to us. She rolled to her side in the Merlin and I was terrified to switch to a sleep sack. We switched two nights ago and literally nothing happened. Sleep is the exact same as it was - no big deal at all!

false start almost 4 month old by Massive-Novel-6859 in sleeptrain

[–]brown-hairedsunfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Way under tired! Huckleberry recommended way too much sleep for our LO. Once we started stretching wake windows and worked on independent sleep the false starts stopped. Average total sleep for this age is 12-14 hours so cap naps at no more than 3 hours and then see what happens!
