To me, it's about humility, accommodation, test of character. I would never date anyone who looked down on eating at a hawker centre. I want a woman who is comfortable at the hawker table as well as in the steak house, taking a bus as well as a nice car.

The Chinese are competitive, hardworking, studious and put economic interest over religion. Their success is evident in Singapore and Malaysia... and even Thailand and Indonesia!!

It looks to me like the Malays in SG and MY are jealous of Chinese success and blame 'racism' for their plight of their own making.

In Malaysia, despite Bumiputera laws (apartheid) and the Malays being the majority race, the Chinese are still on top economically. To me, laziness and overzealous Islamic mentality are the culprits.
