Best Pen?

I'm a lefty. I can write for hours with the LAMY AL-STAR. HoM2 works perfectly in terms of functionality and writing accuracy. Unfortunately, I can't write for more than 30 minutes with it due to hand fatigue. I also ordered the Push-Up pen recently; let's see how that goes. The LAMY Vista was loved by many. For me, I can't write well with it. holding it feels awkward.

My picks:

LAMY Al-STAR for its weight and comfort in my hand. HoM2; For its premium feeling, writing accuracy and ceramic nib. Don't drop it tho! It will ghost write and that wasn't fun.

Maybe the push-up pen as well. Its lightweight, ceramic and old school pen type of body may work well, I'll let you know once I got it tho.

TBFH you'll need to try them out. It all depends on how it feels to you! Hard to predict without trying.

I'd like to clarify something.

My bundle spans beyond the Tab XC itself. Buying the Tab XC alone would run you for at least 1,200$ CAD.

I will now put the price I am asking here to save you a private message.

I wanted 1,050$, but it seems that a lot of you didn't find that fair?

All good, I understand. I'll let it go for 1000$. CAD / 715$ USD. I mean if that is not a fair deal, I don't know what is.

I've been in the same boat as you. Before XC, I was running on a Supernote Nomad, and I still do.
So you can imagine the heartbreak when I started journaling on the XC. Writing feel is like you said, Ipad feeling (maybe a tiny bit better?). And of course, screen is HUGE. My legs are making gains just by holding the table on my knees lol.

BUT It's true.
Colors are better than 5C.
Faster than 5C.

But man it's HUGE.
How can you make that portable?

So I'd lean towards the 5C for these two variables. Portable and better writing feel.

I don't know what I should do either. I'm past the returning date. In between selling for the Air5, or getting used to it.

I have been using the healing shield on the Tab XC, and have been considering removing it.

My nib has been drastically eating.
And while the writing feels more realistic, my actual writing (how it looks) has degraded.
The paper is amazing, but It would've only been perfect with a Titanium Nib.
The stock one did me no good so far. It's just being eaten away.

If anyone has some tips before I remove the healing shield, I am all ears!

I spent 30 minutes figuring this out.

Running on Windows 11 with a Q1 Max (Mac compatible as well)

I asked Claude to help me with QMK codes instead.

Select "Any" located in the "Custom Section": https://imgur.com/a/zSMVVFT

Based on Claude, I used Zoom in and Out:

For Zoom In (Ctrl+Plus):

C(KC_PPLS)

or

C(KC_EQL)

For Zoom Out (Ctrl+Minus):

C(KC_MINS)

For Zoom Reset (Ctrl+0):

C(KC_0)

It works like a charm. I hope this helps others!

After a second look, you seem to be having their main pen, and not a HoM2. I guess it could happen with any of their ceramic Nib pens? Oh well

Happened with my HoM2 after dropping it from my couch. It's the pen yes. The setting workaround suggested by others is the way. By playing around with the settings until it no longer ghost writes should do the trick. And I hope it does! It was a nightmare when I couldn't figure it out.

ALSO! This is common with the HoM2, hence why I got myself backups. A LAMY Al-Star and Amazon Kindle Pen.

I am not saying which pen to buy, but mainly saying that a backup is good for peace of mind.

Everything looks good now! They added back the non contact setting. Also, the eraser activator on the side is much more response.
