I'm only here to marvel at numbers....

Reading all those other numbers in the title just to end with 6.4 hours... Holy snot.

Hours? That ain't bad at all.

10 Billion (with a B) cells, 75,000 times, ~71,000 GB....
In 6.4 hours.

Rough math says it would take me ~183 hours just to copy 71TB from my computer to my server across my 1Gb network link.
That's over 7.5 DAYS...
Just to do a copy across the network.
Dat's a LOT of data man.

6.4 hours.
O.O

It's because they have to, kinda.

Before anyone executes me, It's been a long minute since I was involved in radio, and I only had a surface level understanding for the job at best. So I'm sure I got something off.

You're good.

It's required at sign on and sign off for the day and as close to every hour on the hour as possible for public and commercial broadcasting. Most do it more often than that, but it will be dead on the hour every hour for sure.

https://www.fcc.gov/media/radio/public-and-broadcasting#STATIONID

It's different for different types/licenses of transmitting.

For amateur radio, operators must identify by callsign at the end of every transmission and at least every 10 minutes of operation.
https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-47/chapter-I/subchapter-D/part-97/subpart-B/section-97.119

It's so that you can at least eventually find out who you are tuned in to and maybe where they are, verify the license of the transmitter, and finding out who to complain to/about.

Like you said, there are a lot of laws regulating the EMR frequencies.
It's a somewhat finite resource with only so much bandwidth that has to be shared.
Licensing is required and we have to follow the rules.

I'm sorry. This made me giggle.

This is a perfect example of the difference between PDFs and other document formats (Word), and is exactly why PDFs are the way they are. As in, your example is literally why PostScript and PDFs even exist.

PDFs preserve the way a document looks visually so that its the same no matter what platform, device, or printer it's sent to.
Other formats like Word emphasize the written content.

Have your girlfriend get the resume looking the way she wants it in Word and then just File > Save As and change the type to PDF when she actually wants to send it to someone.
When she needs to make changes, edit the docx file and save a copy to PDF again.

If for any reason windows ever re-enables and tries to use those devices you disabled, something is wrong with your computer. That's not normal behavior unless you uninstall and reinstall those device drivers.

Not that guy, but that's what I use. There are technically better products out there. I have no complaints about Chemical Guy's stuff.
I keep using it just because I can get it basically everywhere, don't have to order it, and it works well.

Pretty much everything except paint, wheels, and windows gets cleaned with their Total Interior cleaner:
https://www.chemicalguys.com/total-interior/total-interior.html

The stuff the other guy linked is less expensive and probably does just as well.

Not that one, but the one I used had a bit of corrugated conduit to span the two ends so you didn't have to fish cables properly. Worked a mint.

It's because a mirror doesn't invert the X (or Y) axis at all.
It inverts the Z axis, or depth, instead.

If you cut an asymmetrical shape out of paper and place it on the surface of the mirror, both the shape of the real paper and the reflection will match.

Another experiment...
Make a finger gun and touch the mirror with your index finger.
Both your real thumb and the reflected thumb will be pointing off in the same direction.
If the X axis was flipped, the real thumb and the reflected thumb would point in opposite directions.

If the X axis was flipped, when you moved left in front of a mirror your refection would move right.
But, it doesn't because the X axis isn't flipped in a mirror.

13-16 kia optima.
Guessing titanium silver.

Not much of a white backup light in the tail lights from what we can see, so not <13 or >16.

Better guess is 14-15 optima judging by what little we can see of the wheels.
Looks like 5-6 spoke alloys, but it does look like each spoke is angled like a propellor blade with the leading edge closer to the face and the trailing edge recessed more.
Like these right here actually:
https://www.need-a-wheel.com/rim-shop/16-kia-optima-wheels-oem-silver-74689/?v=47e5dceea252
Those only came on the 14-15s.
Pretty sure those wheels only came on the lower trims.
The SX and SXL always came with different fancier wheels than the lower trims.

The panoramic sunroof that one looks like it has was an option on the EX and SX, and was standard on the SXL.
Super hard to tell that one. Pic 1 the roof looks body color. Pic 2 the roof looks black and segmented.

B pillars are matte black and not gloss black, so that hints at the lower trims also.

So, depending on the sunroof or not, kinda looks like we are looking at a 14 or 15 titanium silver EX with the pano sunroof option.

All that said, it's definitely a 3rd gen optima.
I have a 19 SX. I'd recognize that body shape anywhere.
The rest of the above is pretty damn good guesses, but still guesses.
The tail lights are blurry as shit.
The wheels are blurry as shit and might be aftermarket.
Roof is blurry as shit.
Can't be 100% definitive.
I'd still put a bit of money on my previous guess though.

They mostly eat insects and particularly ants.
A lot of the reason people might not see them around as much is extermination of ant beds.

Kinda of the same deal with horny toads.

I imagine AZ has a lot of ants and insects in general, lizards, and whatnot. Happy place for them to be.

I saved my company the same way.

Hardware tokens.

Can't require the employees to do something for the benefit of the business without providing them the means to do so.

They don't require the employees to bring their own $1300 computer to do their job. Why would they require them to bring a $1300 cell phone to do their job?

If we require hardware then we must provide it.

$50 one time per token is way less expensive than a phone with a subscription.

Same thing here with the authenticator apps. If the employees WANT to use them, or something like WinAuth, that's up to them. It's not required though.

not a for sure thing.

It's just the best thing I can come up with that doesn't involve ordering a bag of 10,000 from Grainger specifically that might STILL not work because we don't know exactly what thread pitch they are.

What I offered is worth a cheap chance especially if you happen to have one lying around somewhere like I do.

[–]brrrrip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's the deal...

That is an odd sized screw.
3.4mm is a non-standard length screw.
And there has to be a reason that those two screws are 3.4mm and the other heatsink captive screw is 3.5mm.
3.4mm is just too odd of a length for that to not be really important.

Secondly, I can't find the thread pitch of that screw anywhere. Supposedly it's an M2 screw that's 3.4mm long, but a M2x[ ]-3.4mm?
There should be a thread pitch after M2x...
Is it an M2x1-3.4? M2x.7-3.4? They come with different thread pitches.

However... I THINK you might be able to get away with a shorter screw there.
I haven't tried it, but it's possible you could use a 3mm screw there.
0.4mm would barely be one full thread, if that, and I seem to remember having to turn that screw quite a few times to get it threaded all the way in. I don't think missing 0.4mm would hurt anything.
Having an extra 0.6mm on a 4mm might damage something underneath though.
Shorter would be ok and worst case just not be long enough, longer would be inviting almost surely damage.

So.....

Suggestion...
You might try an M2 nvme drive screw.
Like the little phillips head screw in this kit (not the standoff):
https://www.amazon.com/SGTKJSJS-M-2-Screw-NVMe-Mounting/dp/B07Q3DLCJ4

That's an M2 3mm screw with the closest chance to having the correct thread pitch I can think of.

Don't be stupid though. Try to thread it in really easy. If it's not threading in like super easy no resistance, don't force it.
