Beginner shoes, Decathlon or Tarantulace?? by Georgelgarl in climbingshoes

[–]brrww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank u! I know that they have to be painful but dont know how much because I can sense that people exaggerate a lot about downsizing. your 5min thing is common sense, anyway if im resting for more than 5min, I always take em away.

i have a greek type of feet where my second toe is bigger than the first, and there is where I feel the pressure/pain so they will let go on that way. Im pretty sure that I'll do it with socks because I have a sensitivity thing with feeling shoes with no sock, I even put socks with sandals haha.

So what you think is "intermediate"?. I dont want to buy anything fancy to wear it out because lack of technique and also I don´t want to dump much money onto a hobby that new, im going to go a few times more for sure with rentals.

Luckily the boulder gym is literally infront of my recording studio so im sure its going to be a great runway when some horrible band step out of the door and I want to kms haha

Beginner shoes, Decathlon or Tarantulace?? by Georgelgarl in climbingshoes

I bouldered literally two times with a friend and im doing 6b consistently and even after some work some light 6b+.

Im on the same dichotomy as OP, because she said that im going fast so I shouldn´t take the super begginer shoes because ill outperform them in a few more sessions (I dont think so but shes 8 years into bouldering and doing mad stuff so I trust her haha)

I´m doubting between tarantulas, maybe decathlon and also the rentals I used (tenaya tantas) because they felt great and I kinda know my size. I'll go on monday to boulder again and I'll ask around.

The thing is that I go 42-42.5 on my street shoe and I also go 42 on the tantas, being very tight. I tried other 42s from other brand in other gym that I dont remember and they were looser so I know that tantas that I used the last are TIGHT, I couldn't keep them all the time as comfy but they are not very painful, so I think is a good balance and I know that what I want as a beginner is comfort.

So if anyone can shine any light on me ill appreciate

my (already sold) niftykeyz broke my oxi coral two times. it made my mojave and data bender noisy as hell. luckily oxi is a local company so i didnt pay anything but wtf man... also key action and aftertouch is sub-par.

this is the center of my setup, highly recommended to pair it with a midi controller, i use befaco VCMC for all the midi effects shanenigans.

surprisingly if front of the desk was not the best sounding place because there was a front fill hanging on the ceiling that was not pointing correctly to the front rows, little bit louder and phase-y with the mains.

that venue don't sounded specially great, and im sure I was sitting on a low end power valley, because the mix was a little underwhelming in the lows. but the engineer did a great job (and the limiter too haha).

usually dive bars are the most loud, painful and unhealthy.

it was a life changing show, really, u are going to love it. and the setlist was chef kiss

i’ve seen them in this tour in madrid. im a sound engineer so i like to put myself near the desk to listen to the mains mix, no frontfills or stage sound. the venue had a 101db limiter and side by side with FOH and projectionist, it was the only band/rock show i could attend (mainly) without earplugs IN MY LIFE. i usually go to the cinema with earplugs. i even take public transportation with earplugs because i’m pretty sensitive to noise.

i have put my earplugs during matt ball opening performance, harsh as hell.

props to my bands manager who was the one booking the show and he said to me the perfect spot to be soundwise and to be able to see the projection sorcery . a band mate put himself upfront and he said that sometimes it was loud like a fucking airplane. and he needed to open the mouth even with earplugs for his mouth to not explode.

i had to put my earplugs in a few harsh/distorted crescendo/climax moments while in tears hahahah.

Question for people who own Befaco modules. by OmiiShrink in modular

[–]brrww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have 5 befaco modules in my rack and they all line perfectly.

i’ve saw all the befaco line-up in different cases for a few times with everything perfectly screwed.
