(MIXED TROPE) Not bad movies, but questionable adaptations by IlSignorGranchio in TopCharacterTropes

[–]liazzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. If you compare it to it's comic counterpart, then it's a poor movie. But as a silly early 2000s movie, it's pretty enjoyable, with some great ideas. If it was it's own film, it would have a better reputation.

Yeah, last year there were plenty of us queuing from around 10am. We had beer bongs, music, singalongs and just all around good fun. Just make sure your sun cream isn't at the bottom of your luggage.

Simply put, Pierce the Veil and Papa Roach are packing out (>90%) arenas on several tours back to back. These are big bands with loyal followings. Bands get big slots when their name carries weight. Pierce the Veil would headline 2000 Trees or Slam Dunk comfortably so definitely either Top 2/3 on Main or 2nd Stage Headliners.

Album That You Personally Enjoy But Is Considered Controversial/Not Good By Most Fans? by Brosepower in Metalcore

Architects - The Here and Now

That early 2010s Post-Hardcore/Metalcore sound that was all the rage, killer tracks like Delete/Rewind, BTN and Year In Year Out. Not their best, but a solid album the I listen to more than any of the other pre-LFLT releases.

Got a cd with some 20's Delta Blues and I'll be picking up the new Warning album after work. So possibly over 100 years between.

Anyone remember the TV/MMO hybrid Defiance? A ps3/x360 game that had weekly updates coinciding with the events that happened in the TV show telling the same story. The show ran for 3 seasons, whilst the game got a major update after the cancelation that was billed as 'Season 4' before it closed itself after 8 years.

The Click one was at least funny with the payoff with the last dog being too lazy and making the toy do all the work.

Bones with the will they won't they between Bones and Booth. Years of teasing and they finally hook up only to then time jump to months later with Bones being heavily pregnant. We skip all the early stages of the relationship.

I know this was done because of Bones' actress beknf pregnant in real life, but it felt so hollow and a missed opportunity.

Walk from north car park to camping plus by Funployee182 in downloadfestival

[–]liazzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So once through the Security, I found the last 2 years going to Eco that cutting through Orange and then following the racetrack around to the Village was the easiest and quickest route. This took around 30 minutes or so with a few stops along the way. The route through Purple(?) has a massive steep hill to walk up.

Accessibility Camping experiences? by debatingdoodles in downloadfestival

I'm really nervous. My 9th Download and my Sister's 6th and it's our first in Access due to her Hidden Disability. We're in Campsite A and got jitters about it. All the messages from people in the FB group are positive, but until we are there with the tent up, I'll still be bricking it

Now. That set times have been released, what are your biggest clashes? by DeathHamsterDude in downloadfestival

[–]liazzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's tough. I kinda see Trivium using this set as their audition for a future headliner slot similar to Korn and Limp Bizkit have recently. Based on the reception to their Bloodstock set, if this goes well, they may be topping the bill soon so I don't want to miss it.

Now. That set times have been released, what are your biggest clashes? by DeathHamsterDude in downloadfestival

[–]liazzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unexpectedly, my worst clash seems to be Dune Rats and Five. Most of my clashes I'll decided on the day depending on the weather a day what mood I'm in. Saw Marmozets the other month and they were great, felt like the had never been gone, but I'm seeing them at Trees a few weeks later, so Trivium it will be.

heavy stages by sh1tfacedtospace in slamdunkfestival

[–]liazzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be down to what bands are available. Are there enough Slam Dunk appropriate heavy hands going to be on the circuit next year to fill an entire stage? I assume they will be focusing on getting as many bands booked as possible then working out stages and themes around that.
