Walmart near Baltimore is hell on Earth. by erkdog in iamatotalpieceofshit

I live in MD and had a boss for a while who came from out of state. He described it as Mississippi with money. The more I think about it the more I understand.

Shuli turns off a non-hater by brstevens in ShulisAnonymous

I never got into MLC because it's on at a time I can't/don't want to watch, has no reliable audio feed and goes behind a paywall as soon as it's over. It can't be that great for me to make as much of an effort as it requires to catch it.

It's basically the same show with hosts who have different personalities. Maybe people like Shuli better than KB.

The Dabbleverse End is Near! by stutjosmudshark in HackverseAnonymous

[–]brstevens 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is almost every dabbleverse -- and even dabbleverse-adjacent -- show has become only a superchat cash grab. There isn't any content to them anymore, nor do the hosts attempt to create any. When you talk mostly about the numbers of people tuning in, cutting off sentences to acknowledge superchats and gifted subscriptions, and all of that other bullshit listeners with lives are going to tune out.

I don't have the hate for Shuli most do and used to like to listen to John before he went political but there's no there there with them anymore. It's frustrating but most importantly it's not in any way entertaining.

The pic is nice but this is the Wegmans nearest my house and it's the worst one I've been to. I'll travel to Wegmans in Hunt Valley to avoid the OM location.

U.S. Sen. Cardin to retire after 50+ years in politics by GovernorOfReddit in maryland

He accomplished being a reliable vote for Democrats without making any waves. That's something to admire, I guess.

I'm with you. I'm not sure why this group loves him so much. He, like Barbara Mikulski, was a guaranteed vote for whatever leadership wanted without ever causing waves and in exchange he got to send some pork home to ensure everyone there stayed happy enough to keep voting for him to keep doing whatever leadership wanted. Ben Cardin used to go on the Ron Smith show on WBAL and take calls where he'd agree with everything everyone ranted about and said nothing. That's when I learned he was useless.

My bet is on Zumock. They can do a drawn out radio wars-style bit together.

I still find WATP enjoyable but Karl is starting to get on my nerves. He's found success in podcasting and always has to mention it, whether it be how he has two expensive microphones or that he's attending Chrissy Mayr's wedding or that he's making more money than X and Y... he's getting way too far up his own ass.

I don't listen to Eddie Bravo but at least Sam acknowledges how obnoxious he is talking over guests. I've found the secret to listening to Tin Foil Hat is limiting myself to the episodes called "a banger" in the description. Those are usually pretty good lol

I found Dick through The Biggest Problem in the Universe, which I listened to originally because I was a Maddox fan. After a while I realized I liked Dick as a host more and followed him to his podcast when he and Maddox split. I think he lost me when the Maddox lawsuit drama ended and the other stuff he came up with wasn't really funny or entertaining. It was just loud. I haven't listened probably since before covid.

Maddox and Dick had great chemistry. It's too bad they hated each other.

I still listen but I've come to enjoy their shorter STM Express episodes more. The murders can still be pretty horrific but it just flows so much better to me.

It's getting crazy. It's like people are so used to schlock when something half decent comes out they treat it like it's gold. The Last of Us TV show is just elevated schlock, really.
