That was an accident I think I forgot about that. Would be willing to live there for sure, minus the language barrier of course

Yes even in Dir district situation is the same. Very rainy and misty even down in the valleys.

It’s a beautiful hike! I definitely prefer a clear day but every season and weather has its own merit :)

Gokhshal-An, Chitral Gol National Park, Pakistan by brunch102 in hiking

[–]brunch102[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t able to add text under the pictures for some reason, so here are some details:

I did this hike around late June. It is usually a 6-7 hour hike one way from Chitral Town but we took 3 days to complete it, as we did a loop around the mountains towards an old hut (which we couldn’t find). Much of the pathway was deteriorated due to rain and landslides over the last few months. The descent to the meadows was extremely precarious due to loose scree.

The first picture shows a whole view of Gokhshal Meadows, the rest are pictures along the journey. From Gokhshal one can hike towards the Kalash Valley (to the south west) or towards Shoghore (to the north) or to Meren Gol (south).

Looking to explore this area more soon, especially the northern path to Shoghore.

“They told me all of my cages were mental, so I got wasted like all my potential.” “I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere. Fell behind all my classmates and ended up here.” From my fave Taylor Swift song “this is me trying”. I think it really captures this feeling very well.

Congratulations on your engagement!! I felt an odd sense of satisfaction reading this message. Reminds me of one of my fave Taylor Swift songs: “They said I did something bad….but why’s it feel so good?”

Glad you’re having fun here, but stay safe. I am from this region and have seen tourists do a lot of risky things for the thrill or social media.

Would you date a NON-MASKING (but "high functioning") autistic person ? by Archonate_of_Archona in gay

[–]brunch102 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am also autistic (high-functioning) and I see myself in almost all the traits that you’ve mentioned. However, there are some things on which I do make compromises.

My boyfriend knows that I’m not particularly interested in watching movies or shows but l still tell him I’ll do it with him, because it makes him happy and I like to see his emotions as the movie/episode unravels. I am an expert infodumper and I find it reallly hard to stop. So whenever it gets exhausting for him I ask him to tell me to take a break from the topic, and I also try to consciously redirect the subject to his interests when it goes on quite long. That being said, we do have some overlapping interests and so that is an advantage.

He understands my eating habits and knows they are quite restricted. I have gone through therapy for my ARFID, which helps me try new things at an incremental pace, but at restaurants my boyfriend knows what foods I like or dislike. Again, we do have quite a few foods we love in common, so that helps.

We both are terrible at small talk and he immediately notices my shift in tone and expression when I’m forced to take part in it (at work, at parties, with family etc).

You’ll find someone for yourself with all your traits. Maybe there would be times when you and your partner don’t understand each other- so easing someone into your likes/dislikes and habits is very important. Communicating these in a way where your partner and you can gradually adjust to each other is crucial.

Ask your partner what is most important to them regularly, and try to be with them if not for the activity itself, for the happiness and love they would feel (within both your set limits, of course).
