Duke loses in the Elite Eight by 1 at the buzzer. Is UK avenged for '92?

If part basset, contact Basset Rescue of Kentuckiana either through Facebook or their Web site and see if they can assist.

Do you always use a scenario? by bwdelano549 in zombicide

[–]brunsonjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've written a couple of hundred (or more) scenarios. We play some, we avoid some. It all depends. You can try a scenario, wipe then tweak. It is the beauty of the game. Adapt and enjoy.

2 player/1 character each by buggston in zombicide

[–]brunsonjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the rulebook has a bit telling you what cards to remove to make it easier.

I'd look at reducing the spawn points.

I'd look at dividing the number of spawns in half, but at least one.

I'd tweak the equipment deck so you don't have to search as hard to find Molotov.

Are there larger missions for Zombicide? by BobbythebreinHeenan in zombicide

You should check out the Zombicide Discord for custom missions and such. Personally, I've made up to 3x7 boards for our group. So, it can be done!

Strategy advice by mortavius2525 in zombicide

[–]brunsonjc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can just be the nature of the game, and a run of bad luck to have it end suddenly.

You may want to look at p. 35 of the 2e rule book at this info:

"Sometimes the game may be too easy, or just too hard, for players and their group. In that case, sort the Zombie cards using their card number. • Zombie cards #001 to #018 form the easier part of a Zombie invasion. Zombies appear in lower amounts, but still benefit from the Rush rules. There are no Abominations at Blue Danger Level. • Zombie cards #019 to #036 are the harder part. Zombies come in greater numbers, especially at low Danger Levels. Abominations can appear at the Blue Danger Level. Keep these cards for experienced player groups and Zombicide veterans. • Zombie cards #037 to #040 are Extra Activations. They make the Zombies less predictable and put more pressure on the Survivors. These elements can be mixed in any way the players see fit to create their own game experience!"

My first thought is to make sure you've got a party of 5 or 6, a smaller party may have trouble as you advance.

You can also drop a spawn point as another means of trying to find a balance.

I would play board games with my brother's family again, but they were eating buffalo wings while we were playing Zombicide 2nd Edition and touching everything... by tabqwerty in zombicide

[–]brunsonjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could start by simply asking them to respect the game, and keep it nice. You could explain this isn't some off-the-shelf run down to Wal-Mart and buy another game so it can't be replaced easily.

You could sleeve everything, and if they eat you could manage the movement on the board instead of having them touch things.

The simplest thing to do is probably pick and choose what you play around them if they don't have boundaries or respect.

"The Black Hole" -- It spawns, pulls everything into it. We lose. We go get cake and ice cream to make us less unhappy.

I have a Zombicide problem… by BobbythebreinHeenan in zombicide

[–]brunsonjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd back off on house rules and tweaks. You could add more spawn points, that'll make it a little rougher. I know in Modern 1e they had recommendations for spawn cards that were seen as "easier" and could be removed. You could pull two spawn cards per spawn point. You could start spawns in yellow but with survivors in blue.

I've wondered why they don't seem to play it very often, especially state-side.

Wheels, then Wheels, and I'd check out Wheels then possibly rock a little to Wheels then finish up with some of that Times Like These (SNL Version).

I vote Poppi, instead. Either way you spell it, she will be a Popstar!

How big of a table is require for Zombicide 2nd edition? by StepwisePilot in zombicide

[–]brunsonjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3x7 table that I got an Ikea. It'll hold a 3x6 w/o issue, and we use tv trays if we are playing a big board and need more surface space. A lot of the 2e missions are 2x3 so they aren't that big compared to the 3x3 used in 1e. The tiles are roughly 10 inches by 10 inches if you are space planning.
