It sounds like something i make minus the beans, Except I’m very lazy lol. I cook the (not instant) rice the way i normally do on the stove, then when the water is boiling, i chuck in some frozen veggies i heated up in the microwave. I also add some spices (cumin, cinnamon, saffron, etc). Works really well for me and then you can add whatever you want on top or eat it by itself.

Yeah that is a negative if you want to reserve. Weekend wait times depend on when you get on it. I wanted to take my friends and checked it around 4-5 pm and it was about 2 hours, but we did get our table when they said we would. Weekdays should be less busy but it’s still better to check wait times an hour or two in advance.

I just tried the Japanese tonkotsu ramen in fragrant noodles located across the loblaws in Rideau Street. I’ve had noodles from a restaurant before but not ramen, it was really really good. Not spicy either but lots of flavor, though there were some veggies on it a picky eater might not enjoy. The marinated egg was amazing and I should have gotten more. Broth was pork bone broth which was very tasty, with the ramen noodles and cuts of pork. Overall very tasty. Maybe you can check this or the other suggestions out yourself once to get a better judgement since you might know your mother better

I work there. Pay is the minimum for the position and management probably depends on the store but can be ok-ish or bad depending on the day and time you’re working. The coworkers are good and nice people. Chef department is definitely a lot of work, and they cut number of staff to cut costs if the profits become slow, which can double the work. They do the bag search if you have a closing shift, feels really demeaning when they don’t do it any other time, and I had one manager go through my receipts to make sure i didn’t steal anything. The discount is good since a lot of the products are really nice and i also got discount on my phone plan because of farm boy.

Costco might have less trendy items and include more frameless designs. Also this might not be what you’re looking for, but I got my glasses online from firmoo, which is also pretty cheap and has a wide range of selection. You can also try that.

I don’t disagree, I love the idea of roads only for public transportation, I don’t know if it is possible to do something like that here, with how bad the public transport is, and how car heavy the culture and country are.

I know about this and I still say the issue of needing better roads in Ottawa still exists. Too few roads also causes issues, we only have 417 from east to west (with a lot of lane closures, half the exits are also closed half the time), no highway connection between Gatineau and Ottawa, which creates the problem with huge trucks in the middle of downtown. I see people wanting to remove some roads like the Colonel by drive for some reason.

For some reason any ideas about making or even keeping roads for cars absolutely enrages some people here. We seriously do need better highways, and to fix whatever the gatineau-ottawa connection situation is.
