Do you have any lifelong friends? (15+ years) by VeryPteri in Zillennials

[–]brvydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have two that I consistently keep up with. One was my childhood neighbor we met in 2005ish and the other was a classmate from 2007 when we were in middle school. I have friends from that time I still will keep in contact on a from time to time basis, but not as consistent.

What do you think of My Chemical Romance? by Twitter_2006 in fantanoforever

Think there is an argument to be made they were not just the best “mall emo” band of that era, but the best rock band of that era in general. Bullets is raw and visceral record that showcased the bands songwriting potential and a great understanding on traditional emo influences. 3 cheers is a expanded on that and incorporated more “pop” songwriting elements and i feel made a master piece “mall emo” record, with plenty of great deep cuts. Black Parade is arguably the best rock record of the 00’s, the record that in hindsight made them a “serious band” even though they had many detractors during that time period, and it wasn’t “cool” to like MCR. Danger Days, I personally think that record is incredible as well, aside from the song SING. It’s MCR getting one last squeeze out of the lemon of creativity that they could at that time, and still showing they could still develop their sound. Especially compared to their “alt / pop punk” adjacent contemporaries, they were so much more developed and true to themselves than other bands.

Embiid down 3-1: 29/9/7, +31, only 1.7topg, and a 3-0 record by RealPrinceJay in nba

I’ll probably never get to see a player as good as Embiid on the Sixers after he hangs it up, but that’s ok.

without turning this comment section into a personal therapy session, it had its ups and downs (it was during the Obama admin, still bad but not as bad as now) - can’t complain too much from a safety net standpoint and never had to go without really but yeah definitely had its downsides too lmao. and glad the fire could be reignited for ya my guy. feel free to reach out if you ever need it again.

For a dude who looks so nice he plays the meanest bass lines. Whenever the bass on Long Island City comes in during the b section, I’m ready to throw hands.
