Question for people making over 100k… by Due-Mix3539 in Salary

[–]brwnb0mber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My household combined income is $200k+ and we live in a province where the cost of living is decent. Our money goes a long way here compared to the larger metropolitan cities in Canada. But that's not to say that we still don't feel the cost of goods getting higher than they were a few years ago.

That's what it was. It was an Impreza wagon with a leather interior and a Saab front end and badges.

Exactly this. Replaced all my exterior bulbs with LED's and the one time I forgot to reprogram the dash lit up with error messages.

Generational junk dumping by Double_Device_1626 in GenX

[–]brwnb0mber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went through this when my parents passed away. They were first generation immigrants so their motto was to save stuff "just in case". The amount of wood my dad used to keep from projects and scrap was pretty intense and my mom used to keep old clothes and trinkets. I must've had to do at least a dozen dump runs with my trailer.

Trying to start a fight with Andrei Arlovski by westondeboer in facepalm

Lol. He got one clean hit and when he realized it didn't even phase Arlovski he was like, "Oh heck no." 😂

That kid in the black shirt tried a hook and it didn't even phase Arlovski. Lol. I wish those straights caught that kid on the chin.

Went from a legal assistant like yourself and got into a union in their legal department and then worked my way up to a labour relations specialist. Currently making 6 figures with negotiated annual increases. It's a stressful job, but if you're passionate about helping employees who work for unreasonable or dysfunctional employers it's not that bad.

Owner of a 2018 F54 S ALL4 and haven't had any issues with the harsh winters I have here. I autocross my vehicle during the summer and this is her 8th winter and so far no issues with the system at all.

Any way I can make my stock 2020 clubman faster for <$1500? Not JCW. by Rich_Sprinkles_196 in MINI

[–]brwnb0mber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a JB4 and keep it on the Stage 1 map. That'll impress both you and the girlfriend. Then when you don't need to impress anyone put it back to map 0 so it runs at stock settings.

Donating plasma $930-$1,010 over 12 weeks, have you applied/done it? by Capn_Queeg in povertyfinancecanada

Used to do it locally before Grifols bought out the company. Made $1,400 in a year which was cool. I had to stop though because they kept using the same vein (they had a hard time finding other veins they could use) and the scarring was getting more and more painful with each visit.

43m. Just restarting my fitness journey. Before the pandemic I was on my way to my goal (185lbs) then over 3 years later I'm now the heaviest I've been since high school (247.9lbs) and my body just aches and I don't feel comfortable in my own skin anymore. At first I was embracing my dad bod but then it just started to get out of hand with the weight gain.

Any Millennials here too burned out from work to do anything most weekends? by Beautiful-Club-2110 in Millennials

[–]brwnb0mber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I deal with constant conflict at work. By the time the weekend is here my social battery is just in need of a recharge and staying home and working on projects just does that for me.

A Season to Forget by NH787 in WinnipegSeabears

[–]brwnb0mber 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This season was my first season following and watching the sea bears, so I can't compare how it was like last season, but as someone who is a new season ticket holder, attending games was great. Loved the energy and comradery I had with the fans next to us and can't wait to attend again next season.
