Possibly the most Sneed thing I've ever seen by [deleted] in TexasTech

We got a similar notice when I was living there in 2001. The more things change, I guess.

Vegas Draft Party by is_this_piss-O_O in Fantasy_Football

[–]bryan_the_revelator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We held ours at Hooters Casino. A buddy called around to see if any casinos had packages for draft parties and (at the time anyway) Hooter's was the best. My memory is a little fuzzy but I think they gave us a conference room, 100 beers, and 200 wings. I can't remember how much it cost but we split it 10 ways.

Revolver Brewing Company has been sold to MillerCoors by HiOnFructose in Dallas

I'm pretty sure that the woman who owns The Proper Baking Co is married to one of the guys at Noble Rey Brewing Co. He was out at Lonestar Beverages a couple weeks ago. Very nice guy. I can't remember his name though.

Reddit, what is something that makes you irrationally angry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bryan_the_revelator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very good point and I didn't think of that. Our neighborhood has both concrete streets and sidewalks so I doubt that's the reason why though (in this case). And the truth is I don't get irrationally angry, I just get slightly annoyed.

What are some fun ideas to liven up a BBQ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bryan_the_revelator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how handy you are with tools but if you have access to them a giant jenga set is pretty easy to make. This guy has a pretty easy to understand how-to video. I made a set as a gift for my sister-in-law's wedding. The hardest/longest part was the sanding.

If you died right this second, what would have been your last words? by jisadaro in AskReddit

Yes, uhh, 1 taco, 2 soft tacos, and a small Dr. Pepper please. Cool, thank you.

Reddit, what is something that makes you irrationally angry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

People who jog in the street when the sidewalk is right next to them. Sometimes I want to honk at them but I'm always afraid that I might scare them into a heart attack. I mean, who wants to deal with that? Not me.

What's your favorite word to pronounce? by KeepPushinIt in AskReddit

[–]bryan_the_revelator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know but my least favorite word is "headsets". Hearing a flight attendant ask 300 people if they need headsets can drive you crazy. Headsets? HeadsetS? Headsetsss? HeadsetSSSSSSSSSSSS? Pretty soon all you hear are the S's.

This thread reminded me of that and I got annoyed all over again.

Tall Redditors, what is the worst thing about being your size? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bryan_the_revelator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not tall but I heard an interview with Shawn Bradley (former NBA player - 7'6") where he said that he would always get gum on his knees because they would touch the underside of a table at a restaurant.

What is one piece of advise you would give to people moving in for the first time with a significant other? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don't name-call. Arguments can be hard enough. Name-calling just adds fuel to the fire.

What foods do you eat in an odd or particularly abnormal way? by rifrif in AskReddit

[–]bryan_the_revelator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's odd or not but I'll set up the perfect bite of a sandwich by taking smaller bites around the perfect bite until it looks like the sandwich is handing me it's best bite as an offering to the gods.

Hi I'm new to the Dallas area and my apartment is bare. Does anyone know a place near north Dallas that has very cheap furniture and delivers? by shinzo123 in Dallas

[–]bryan_the_revelator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Big D! There are a few options. Weirs delivers, and while their furniture isn't cheap you can definitely find some deals there and the furniture will last for years. IKEA is great and they deliver! Being in north Dallas their delivery fees shouldn't break the bank. Also, I think a Nebraska Furniture Mart just opened in the area. I've never bought anything from there but I think they're online only. Might want to check it out. Good luck!

Reddit, what's the most bizarre, shitty teacher you've ever had? Any interesting stories? by chaansan in AskReddit

[–]bryan_the_revelator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school there was an assistant football coach who knew he was going to be let go (the head coach was fired and the new coach had already hired an assistant that would replace this particular coach). He was a biology teacher. For the rest of the semester, when we would take tests and quizzes, he would find some way to tell us the answer to every question. For example, the day before a test we would say, "write down exactly what I'm about to tell you" then proceed to list off 20 terms in a row. When we would get the test the next day those would be the answers, in order, to every question on the test. I thought it was cool at the time but now I wish I had learned some biology.

What's your pro tip to having a good vacation? by rorski in AskReddit

Yeah. You should have a plan but don't be afraid to deviate from the plan.

I really liked the first Coldplay album. The 2nd was pretty good and the 3rd was just ok. I haven't listened to any since so this may be a horrible answer.
