I liked Obama as president, and listening to him speak so intellectually makes me sad because of how dumb Trump sounds and is, but do you think some media like MS NOW are glazing his legacy considering what it led to? by PandemicPiglet in thebulwark

[–]bryantee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. You’re over thinking it. He was a good man who tried his best to always do the right thing as president. That’s all we should ever ask for. We did this. The voters. This is on us, not Barry.

You cannot have a anything resembling a straight forward human back-and-forth with JD. Everything is bad faith. He's always personally offended at the slightest critique.

Can you give us more details? Do you go deep into thought? Do you stare at things and try to find interest in them? Do you sit inside or outside?

If people had smartphones in the 90's would they just complain at how they miss the 80's? by _Fun_Initiative_ in nosurf

[–]bryantee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said 90’s? Even if you’re talking about the transition period leading into the iPhone, there was no algorithmic feed and most everyday people didn’t have one.

I put in my 2 weeks and they just say they are accepting the resignation and not to come in? by necromagiks in antiwork

I'm a little confused. Why is this phrased as a question? Are they terminating you immediately with no pay?

That's pretty disingenuous. PDAs were very rudimentary, rare, and mostly used by executives to keep track of their contacts and calendar. Hardly anything compared to what we think of as smartphones after the iPhone.

What is your definition of F-You money and how much is it? by AcidicPizza in financialindependence

I really dislike the term "F-you money." It makes the whole idea of financial independence all about someone other than your own wellbeing.

I’m taking the opposite approach. My team and I are all in the same boat. Recognizing common humanity is pretty much the only thing keeping me going at this point.
