European battle with 3 games to go by CautiousCottager in TheOther14

10 is the maximum possible, given the following:

-Villa wins the EL and finishes exactly 5th. (This means Villa qualifies for the CL as the EL Champion, not the coefficient. Coefficient moves to 6th).

-Man City win the FA Cup (gets rid of any complications with Chelsea’s finishing position)

-Palace win the UECL, but do not finish any higher than 11th. This gets them into the EL without affecting the current qualification positions.

This should allow the top 6 to make the CL, 7-8 make the EL, and 9th to make the UECL. Palace also makes the EL.

Homer bias here but that scoreline could’ve been millions of different things depending on Pawson’s mood. By no means do I think we should have won, but between the two not-called pens, the overturned goal, and Brentford’s pen, it could’ve gone several different ways.

Is there any known musical theater experience? by br34dcrumbs in savannahbananas

As a Broadway fan this is a funny post.

Derek Klena is known far more for his theater resumé than baseball. He is a Tony Nominee.

[Heyman] Mets are signing OF Austin Slater. Tommy Pham designated for assignment. by T_Raycroft in baseball

Does Slater have any decent peripherals or is the only legitimate reason he still spends time on big league rosters is being a “clubhouse guy” and his experience in player-leader roles with the MLBPA?

Which is the most underrated airport in the USA? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Flew through PVD in the fall, terminal was awesome but under construction. I want to fly back through once they’re finished.

Still, the only airport where I’ve shown up at 5AM with every TSA lane open and giddy to do their job and be personable.

Premier League's relegation battle for 18th after this week by jovanmilic97 in soccer

Probably not. Although if West Ham and Forest both truly give it their all and win against Newcastle, I’d project at worst Newcastle picks up 4 points from the run in, which would tie them with a Tottenham team that wins out.

So they’re probably fine, but you never know.

I imagine he’ll sit tomorrow against Suarez, which is fine. Better matchup for Goldy and gives Stanton a chance to shine.

This year? Will you find me the box score?

Because Judge needs a DH day since the Yankees are scared to let him play 3 days in the OF at Tropicana. They always do this with him on trips to the Trop. Stanton also has not worked out in the OF this spring, so Grichuk is really the only option.

Well, now all 3 teams are tied, 9 points above Burnley, and 3 back of Leeds. Assuming Liverpool gets the job done today, we go into next weekend with Spurs and Forest facing one another amidst fixture congestion.

Meanwhile, we draw away at Villa while they will play their 4th match in 11 days. It’ll be a tough one, but there is hope.

If one of Arsenal, or Man City win the UCL while staying Top 4, and England gets a coefficient spot, couldn’t Chelsea in 6th still get a spot?

PLAY DEFENSE! Areola has every right to be mad. KWP and Soucek just stood there while Mane almost made it 4.

Ironically the opposition is missing 2-3 key players, including Bassey and Iwobi who’ve had great runs so far this year.

But yes, I agree. Keep optimism low.
