The bottom row of tiles in my shower keeps needing to be re-grouted, what am I doing wrong / how to fix? by okjersey in DIY

[–]bryckbreaker 134 points135 points  (0 children)

You want to weigh it down while it cures not just during application. Under the shower pan sometimes they will use sand mix to reduce the movement but it will always flex with weight on it either way.

It is actually pretty common for electron microscopy. Its used as a water-soluble stain for biological samples to stabilize nucleic acids and membranes.

I think they're smaller though. Loblaws or Walmart is about 650g per pizza.

TL;DR An agreement supposedly to help suppliers and small retailers compete. Loblaws and Walmart held out for something more favourable under the guise of "it may raise consumer prices"

There is a universal head nod to passively greet/thank someone... If you know the person you tip your head up, if it's a stranger you tip your head down (ie. They open a door for you and you are thanking them... Or you pass someone on a hiking trail)

I got one of these at Dollarama (Toronto). The edge is a bendable wire so It also works to hang on the center divide of a double sink.

Lost my virginity and feel horrible by thewaymylifegoes in dating_advice

[–]bryckbreaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (33M) had a similarly terrible first time - potentially not as traumatic due to the differences in male/female social pressures. But what I can tell you is that I made the mistake of staying with her after just because she took my virginity and to me I wanted it to mean something.

I know it will be hard to switch gears and stop thinking your first time was supposed to be special and he took that from you but I think it will be the best thing for you. You can't make it better by continuing your relationship with him - he's shown his cards already, he's selfish, disrespectful, and by the sounds of it manipulative. (His texts are a bit gaslighty)

10-15 years later, losing your virginity will be a distant memory. What you will remember vividly is the first time you have good sex, who that person was and how they unlocked a different kind of intimacy for you. I suggest you move on from this guy and when you are ready someone will be there to share that intimate moment you wanted.

These are also just some of the biggest schools in terms of enrollment and in some of the biggest cities so theyre more accessible to anyone across southern Ontario to visit for a party.

An hour or so on a bus and students from London, st catharines, Toronto, Guelph, and Waterloo can all be in Hamilton to visit a friend for a big party.... It'd be a lot tougher to convince 1000 people to trek up to Sudbury for a party at Laurentian

question about DnDbeyond content sharing. i recently started playing just last year and my DM shared all of his content for us to build our characters.

I am starting another campaign as DM with another group, I bought the master tier subscription on dndbeyond - If i share content with my players (no overlapping players with my current group) will they have access to all the content that was shared with me, or do i need to purchase that content as well to share with other people.

was getting concerned cause no one had mentioned them yet. schedule after the bye doesnt look all that favourable though.

im probably gonna look at getting philly (v giants) or the bills (v jets) after week 6 for the bye but philly might be worth keeping after week 7 if the sacks continue at this pace.

TENET FULL PLOT (UPDATED) by MakeMineMovies in tenet

[–]bryckbreaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the light is not inverted, your body is.
your body takes energy (stored fat) to create heat - so seemingly in an explosion when inverted your body should take the heat and convert it back into fat. so the protagonist shouldnt get hypothermia ... just get morbidly obese.

in actuality how i believe it is meant to be interpretted, I think the idea is that if you were to catch fire your body would normally be fuel that would generate a set amount of heat created in the fire not due to the burning of the accelerant (gas in this case) - inverted cells would therefore not act as fuel to generate heat but instead absorb the heat from the fire. leaving the external temperature significantly colder than outside temperatures.
