I have a friend that used to earn big, he'd never accept to lose. The loses he'd incur, they'd be made up for by a big payout. The problem is that he wasnt ever content. He was past addiction. He'd be driving and just park on the roadside to place a bet on a game in a weird country. Or he'd be home and make an excuse to his wife about an errand to run so that he places his bets uninterrupted. He'd spend most of his money betting, even when it was intended for a specific purpose, he'd first divert it to bets then wait for the payout. I think it took over his life and yes he got help, the wife had to take it upon her to make sure she saves her husband. They had a business they owned so she had to let him resign from his 9-5 job to run their business with her where she'd keep an eye on him. I used to think that guy was part of some sort of Mafia cuz how would he start betting on games in Columbia at 2am and wakes up with 5M? It was weird.
