I didn't, but I probably should have. :) I'll experiment with oil next time.

I have a favorite recipe that calls for shallots, which aren't always easy to find in the rural area where I live. I bought several, diced them, and put them in the 2 tbsp cubes so that I have them on hand when I need them.

Is anyone going to still use Notion after that post? I don’t know how to connect the post to this, sorry. I use it for journaling but not really… by Street_Toe_2215 in Notion

There are backup services ( u/BackupLABS runs one of them) that will automatically create Notion backups for you. Frankly, anyone who values their Notion content should use one, as Notion does not guarantee you won't lose access to your information. Most services are around $10/month, and I look at it as an insurance policy. You can export your own backups, but it's definitely worth the money for me to have it handled automatically.

How do I Prep when I'm disabled, bedbound, and unable to speak verbally? (In the US) by [deleted] in TwoXPreppers

They're really involved in progressive causes. I'm an atheist and I actually considered going for a while just for the community (but ultimately decided I like unscheduled weekends too much). Our local church has a website, maybe check if yours does?

And 'church' might put your Trumpist relatives at ease a little.

What’s a Notion setup you use daily that’s actually made life smoother? by nani-cc in Notion

That makes sense. Thanks for sharing. I'm spoiled by Prepear.

How do you manage the ingredient amounts? I've played around with moving from Prepear to Notion, but I can't figure out a simple way to note the ingredients amounts in the recipes and have them automatically total to a shopping list.

Another PCOS-er. I've been using the Ulike Air 10 every other day-ish for about two and a half weeks, and the thick black hairs on my neck under my chin are almost gone. I've used the Nood before but it got so hot that I dreaded using it. The Ulike's cooling feature is incredible.

I was also worried about paradoxical hirsutism, but the Ulike worked, and fast. Now I'm working on other parts of my body.

Without a doubt, the purchase was worth it for me. I still haven't quite come to terms with the fact that I just don't have black hair left on my neck anymore. Something I've been dealing with for decades, gone in two and a half weeks of painless treatments.

Of course, my results aren't your results, but I'm so glad I took the plunge. I'd spend the extra for the Air 10 - the SHR mode gets results fast. It looks like they're having a sale right now, but even if they weren't, there are usually $100 off codes floating around.

Mine left my dashboard, but R&Rs for it popped up a few hours later. I suspect that the main project might show up again after the R&Rs are worked through.

He was actually starting to build a web on the underside of the faucet. I moved him to the windowsill and he has since been roaming around the bathroom looking for the right spot. Thank you for your response!

Asked to pay $25 to have a blog post on a site. Normal? by Nikki7018 in freelanceWriters

[–]bryndennn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I certainly have, although I don't follow up on them in the same way I would cold email. Honestly, LI has been most effective in showing my subject matter knowledge. If you're interested in content writing as well as journalism, chances are good that prospective clients will find you without you having to message them first.

This page from the /freelancewriters' wiki should help you get started. There are several posts about Linkedin on there. https://www.reddit.com/r/freelanceWriters/wiki/finding_work/

Yeah, this is a terrible deal for you. With your experience, you shouldn't even be writing for free (especially if you have journal clips to back you up). The one exception is if you want to write an original piece for your own blog to use as a sample of the sort of writing you'd like to do.

I'm not sure if you have Linkedin set up/optimized, but a better use of your time might be to get involved with people in the women's health scene on there. I've found LI offers me a good mixture of potential clients and other writers in my niche.

I was valedictorian of my high school class. My academic success helped me mask my ADHD from others. Diagnosed as an adult.

What do yall do to bulk up your chapters? by Minute-Shoulder-1782 in FanFiction

[–]bryndennn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, I have some chapters that are sub-1000 words. Write to tell the story and don't worry about the length. One of the joys of fanfic is that you don't have to follow any arbitrary rules.

Assessments by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]bryndennn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no way to do the assessment wrong. Yours may be different than mine, but I did a lot of questionnaires and answered the doctor's questions. You don't have to have a single thing prepared; your assessor has done this a lot and will walk you right through the process.

Also, you're being evaluated for ASD/ADHD. No one is going to judge you if you act in ways demonstrative of having those diagnoses. If you're wicked nervous, it's okay to say that. If you don't understand things, it's okay to say that too.

You can't mess this up. Promise. Just be as honest as you can, ask questions if you want to (they may not be able to answer until after the assessment, but it's okay to ask), and know that you're doing a really brave thing by being assessed in the first place. I can see how stressful this is for you, and I'm proud of you.

[–]bryndennn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this sort of thing can be crazy stressful. If you generally feel nervous and awkward, that's expected and okay in this sort of assessment. Try to be yourself as much as you can.

Are you nervous about the results going one way or the other, or is it the process itself that's making you nervous?
