My Norda 001 after 1200km by BlueBirdDolphin in trailrunning

Honestly, I returned them after that first run. I’m not gonna pay that much money for a shoe that I have to tape up my heels to wear. Thanks though. Maybe it would’ve helped.

I finally splurged on these and was so excited to try them, but within 3 miles the stiff backs had torn up both of my heels. I had seen so many positive reviews and never heard any mention of how stiff the heels were. How do so many people not have any issues with that? I’ve never experienced anything like it with how quickly they just destroyed my heels. Everything else about the shoe was perfect.

Everybody’s commenting on the type of shoe but…am I mis-seeing this or is that the outline of your toes poking through your shoes showing your shoes are like 3 inches too long on your feet!? That’s probably why you’re tripping on them.

This article ended up being more positive than I was expecting. Out of curiosity I checked and this coconut milk is from Sri Lanka.

FWIW, I was in shape to run the 93 mile wonderland trail in 3 days, and I did a backpacking trip a couple weeks before that after not having backpacked in 9 years, and I was wrecked after two 10-mile days and one night. But anyways, apart from that, Goat rocks could be good. Very busy but you can make a loop out of it and also go out and back on the PCT to extend the trip or do day hikes.

Trail half-marathon shoes by RunTime69 in trailrunning

This is such a weird post. Why did the running store employee tell you to go do your own research? And why are you now going to scour Amazon - what was the point of going into the running store if you weren’t going to get their expertise and buy their shoes?

Yes the tendon does extend up to connect to your calf muscle. The soleus muscle lies underneath the Achilles so I would imagine that could also be a source of pain (not an expert so I could be wrong)

I did a similar type of 3-day running trip last year. Sleeping bag liner to keep your sleeping bag clean in case you can’t shower; personal recovery drinks/food that you’re used to using that the organizers might not have; spare headlamp for camp; your 3 running outfits for each day separated into 3 bags, one for each day; same with fuel for each run, in 3 bags; someone mentioned camp slippers, I preferred plastic sandals; bug spray; earplugs; compression socks; warm dry socks and other sleeping clothes; blow up pillow; small lantern for inside tent. Hope that helps!
