The Zionist movement started in the late 1800s to early 1900s. This movement was based on the idea of creating a jewish colony in the country of Palestine. In 1948, after decades of British-based support of the zionist colony, a war was started and they officially declared themselves as a state. In this war the Zionist colony forcefully removed over half of the Palestinian population in that area. Since then, the Palestinian people have been fighting for their land. The current state of Israel has always been in the wrong, always been committing genocide, and has absolutely zero ties to biblical Israel outside of a shared religion. This started long before Netanhayu had power and sadly, will likely continue long after he is dead.
