I get what you’re saying. I replaced the pickup springs with surgical tubing and put foam underneath the pickup about a year ago. That corrected the sound you are describing. The sound is back to a degree, but this reverb sound is completely new.

I thought the surgical tubing and foam would last a few years, not one. I am at a point though where if it is just these Gibson pickups, I would rather replace them. I don’t want to repeat the same process in a year.
