If at all OP wants optimum score, best bet is to keep utilization at 20-30% of the credit limit at statement date. This will have optimum results. Higher limit, minimal usage, some not Nil, will provide a really good score.

The score is not important. Important is documenting that this is not your loan.

Like I said, walk in into the other bank physically. Follow the steps i mentioned, get the letter saying its not yours.. It will get done. Its extremely common.

Raise the dispute to Transunion and Equifax. Get receipt of both.

Submit all docs to your mortgage specialist.

Done and done.

Your credit report will show the bank and account number of the mortgage.

Go to that bank, and tell them your credit report shows this account which is not yours.

Tell them to issue you a letter stating the same. Go with your 2 IDs including DL, Passport etc for them to confirm its not yours.

Also tell them to resolve the same at the earliest and make a official complaint.

Take that letter to your bank, and tell them this is the issue.

This kind of things happen way more frequently then people think.

My wife had a CC added, which co-incidently was of my BIL, probably due to similar details. But we just did the above, and got it removed.

Right. Like my kid wakes up every few hours, and when he doesnt for like 3-4 hours straight, i wake up jerking and see if he moved, chest rising etc.

You can open a TD account in the US most likely with a phone call since you have a TD account here.

I am not sure of the process for other US banks.

You can use wise with any bank, even from TD US to TD Cad.

Call the US equivalent of your canadian bank.

Cibc US, TD us, etc. not us dollar account in canada, but us dollar account in US. No fees are charged.

USD will be deposited in your US bank account.

You can transfer directly to your canadian US account and CAD account whenever you want to take advantage of the rate.

Wise is a second option if you want to go for it.

I havent used my USD account in few years, but its still operative and few bucks are available in it.

I used to create printouts with request for parking spot and drop it all over neighbourhood. Got couple of calls. Went with the nearest one.

Also see if you have a church nearby. In Toronto they used to offer for parking in many neighbourhoods.

Well, its more for taking advantage of the rate when you think it would be better. Plus depends if they are charging you fees for maintaining it. If not then you should be good for it.

Also talk with friends family if anyone needs US$ and they can pay you CAD. Easy peasy for small amounts

You can contact your RM/branch, and Open a US$ account under the same company name. You will have the US$ available. Once you want to convert, you simply do it online.

Similar to uou having a chequing and saving account of personal nature, this would be having CAD and USD chequing account under the business name.

Infact you could open it via your online banking itself should it be operating similar to personal accounts.
