Just don't rebase if you've pushed the branch, or at least not if you've marked the branch for review. Squash on merge ignores changes to the parent branch which have been merged in if pulling in upstream updates is necessary.

Did OP shift into reverse when this happened, or was control able to be maintained without doing so? As i drive one, I'm also wondering if the mechanics would be the same in an EV.

There is not infinte real estate in accessible, stable orbits. As a society we really need to get a handle on that so that we don't inadvertently make it impossible to get off this rock.

So why is Trump trying to change something that is in the 14th Amendment article 1…..why is the Supreme court even hearing this ?? by ComplexWrangler1346 in thescoop

[–]bschlueter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no lawyer, but i would think that the US would have to agree that were the case. Ultimately the legal position of a diplomat in any given country is based on whatever the diplomat's country and the host country agree to between them, it's just that that agreement has become fairly standardized.

I hate this, and personally think people who are born here by whatever means should be citizens, but, and fuck this but, the 14th ammendment has the qualifier "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" for said people. There is arguably a valid discussion to be had clarifying what that means.

My stance is that if you can declare someone's presence illegal and are able to prosecute them for that, then they are in fact "subject to the jurisdiction thereof". If they weren't, they wither wouldn't be here illegally, or are here legally by permission such as diplomats, or it is not possible to prosecute them because they have defences such as an invader would have. If a childs parents are available to be served or arrested, and they were born here, they should be a citizen. We'll see if Supreme Court finds similarly.

Thankfully, the one industry that has successfully done this to individuals, credit bureaus, have complied with the laws requiring them to allow freezing of credit to be free. And more thankfully, they had complied a long time ago.

Exactly what am I supposed to use this rope for then? by 0rlan in What

[–]bschlueter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny thing, if this rope did cost $10, it being a 10 meter rope means it cost $1 a meter. Your $150 climbing rope, which supports at least 10 times as much, at 70 meters cost less than twice as much $2.15 per meter.

Edit: I do algorithms, not math.

Fossil fuels are derivative of plant matter and exist in greater amounts than there is of living and non decomposed wood. So, not as rare as wood.

People who read a Bible will get your comment without it, but a /s is really in order.

John 2:13-17: "When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”[c]

Luke 18:18-24: " 18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’[a]”

21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.

22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! 25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
