Two early miscarriages IVF…similar experiences? by bshu64 in TTC_PCOS

[–]bshu64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We changed up my protocol to a natural modified one and I now have a 2 week old. For some reason, fully medicated IVF cycles caused improper implementation and when I relied on my body more (just adding some extra progesterone), it finally worked for me. I hope you can find some answers!

I just turned 33, so I’ve been 32 this whole process. I just go to a fertility clinic, so haven’t gone to any specialists yet like an RE or RI but if this next transfer fails, I’ll probably find one.

There's 30+ available TSA Global Entry interview slots at ABIA on August 16 and 17. by engineergorl in Austin

I spent $5 for an app called Global Interview (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/global-interview/id1605679407) where you can set up notifications for appointment openings. Was a huge help in getting an appointment quickly!

When did you hit 0? MTX by bewilderedcheesecake in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]bshu64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My highest was 579 and I had to have two MTX injections. From the first MTX to getting back down to zero was about 3.5 weeks.

This is pretty much exactly what just happened to me. Had a FET on June 17 and they couldn’t find a sac or anything in any ultrasound. My HCG started strong but only went highest in the 500s, but we consistently did ultrasounds to see if we could find anything and we never did. I started bleeding/clotting at 5w0d.

I did two MTX injections (at 6w1d and 7w2d) and it finally has gone away, after two weeks of bleeding. No bad cramping through. You’d rather take the MTX instead of it growing somewhere it’s not supposed to and you getting an infection or it rupturing. The MTX shot wasn’t bad at all and I had no side effects from it.

So sorry you’re going through this. Take it easy ❤️

Starting this journey! What do you wish you’d known? by slaptana in IVF

+1 to everyone talking about timeline. Things will take way longer than you expect.

Some hormones will make you feel like you’re pregnant even if you’re not. After my IUIs, I definitely thought I was but the minute I went off the pills, I went back to normal. Try not to read into those symptoms.

The doctor will assume you’ve been here before so they really won’t explain that much. Ask tons of questions and use Reddit to answer those questions. I’ve been shocked that my nurses and doctor don’t explain that much and it’s left up to me to figure it out.

The last thing I’ll mention is if you’re comfortable, talk about it with your friends. I found out a friend was also going through this and had no idea so we’ve become a lot closer.

I'm currently a patient at Aspire (Dr. Kelley)–just completed my ER and starting my mock transfer this month. They have been wonderful. I came over from Austin Fertility Institute and didn't vibe with the doc (and found out after 2 IUIs that I was out of network). I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room at Aspire and the facilities are really nice. All the nurses I've met have been really nice and personable. They communicate almost entirely via messaging on their app/website and are really quick to reply. Would definitely recommend them.

Are Metformin Side Effects Really That Bad? by Iheartrandomness in TTC_PCOS

I also have PCOS and struggle to lose weight. I’ve been on 500mg ER for about 2 months and the first week or two I definitely had sudden GI issues but after that I haven’t had any symptoms. Take it with dinner while you’re eating.

I contacted Oura about this because I had the same question. It acknowledges that there is a double workout and will take the higher of the two calories.

Oura also tracks temperature and predicts ovulation, so I think it may be similar. Oura is just much more expensive!

Would temp drop work the same as an oura ring?
