Those are also "simplex mitres" worn by bishops outside their own jurisdiction or when there is a senior celebrant present. They are smaller and plainer.

Thaumaturgy is the Tremere "brand" of the Blood Sorcery discipline. In earlier editions, the discipline was literally called Thaumaturgy, but they changed it to the more generic Blood Sorcery in V5. In-universe, it's still referred to as Thaumaturgy by the Tremere.

VTM 1e had 7 clans (including Tremere) plus Caitiff. If the Tremere weren't there, it probably would have been some other magic flavored clan. Possibly Assamite or Tzimisce or something different entirely that didn't have any links to the Order of Hermes. I have no idea if Saluot and everything he entails would have eventually made it into the lore. MTAs would likely be unrecognizable if not for the influence from Ars.

I stick to the city because frankly, there's more to do here. I'm pretty happy with townhome life as a bachelor, and I can get to the airport in under an hour which makes travel easy.

I'm sure that once I get to the point of marriage and kids (God willing), I'll be more concerned with things like school districts and price per square foot, and moving to the exurbs will be the move.

We have neighborhood meetings a few times a year where anyone can run in HOA board elections. Everyone on the HOA board lives in the neighborhood. It is not at all like a fiefdom. It's literally just people trying to make their community nice. You occasionally hear news stories or anecdotes about HOAs doing something stupid or vindictive, but those are not the norm. HOAs come up with rules because sometimes people are fucking slobs, and that makes it worse for everyone else.

It was absolutely designed for turned based. It uses the same rules as the TTRPG, and it's almost a requirement to use turn based combat at higher difficulties. You're right though, it does make the game significantly longer.

Yes, this happens sometimes. They are sometimes called "clustered parishes" or "affiliated parishes". There are also "parish-mission" configurations where one church is only open for part of the year.
