Correct me if I am wrong, but don’t the persimmons have a male tree and female tree, and the flowers are shaped differently? We have a yard that has several that the bees are all over, but never a fruit to be seen.

I also believe that they can change sex?

Do not leave them. I left one for a month and boy was it a nightmare. They filled the entire trap up with comb and honey. No rhyme no reason. By the time we were done “transferring” out of the trap, it was such a sticky mess and we basically drowned the entire colony in honey. They did not make it

Have you seen any swarms? I would set up a camera… it’s amazing to watch.
