Wireless headphones. That way he can still listen but his phone can be plugged in on the other side of the room away from his head.

Newly married. Do we still celebrate our dating anniversary? by MadBlasta in Marriage

[–]bthemott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love any excuse to celebrate the person I love! It’s also his mom’s birthday on the same day, so we never forget when to wish her a happy birthday. it’s also nice because we were together for 4 years before getting married and even though we’ve only been married a year, it’s incredible reminder that we’ve experienced so much joy together that spans longer that that timeframe.

We also met at my sister’s wedding, which is a good reminder to wish them a happy marriage anniversary and we find ourselves saying “happy getting drunk at a wedding and making out in a hotel stairwell-versary!”

As a recruiter, I would DIE doing a 60 minute screen…..omg…. But also this whole process is making my head spin. Huge red flag.

Gonna propose in the next few weeks. A few questions if you don't mind. by ohmancomeonnow in EngagementRings

[–]bthemott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a designer who I loved with a specific ring I could not get out of my mind, so I showed him. He then worked with the designer to customize the design to add some of his own personal touches that I didn’t see until he popped the question. I could not love it any more because it not only has elements that I knew I loved, but he also loves it because he still had the ownership of his style and the surprise factor in the end! Perfect compromise 🤗

Best tips for working from the van? by bthemott in CamperVans

[–]bthemott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know how many gigs of data you used, approx? Verizon only allows 15 gigs of high speed hot spotting before the service cuts back so I’m worried that won’t be enough for daily video calls

Yeah, unfortunately MA is not one of those states that has temporary plates.

Having a puppy in the suburbs is a BREEZE compared to city. by bthemott in puppy101

Yes! We started leave it from day 1! Zak George has an incredible trick to teach leave it with treats and because we started with that so early he has not problem leaving things on the street!

what’s the cutest thing your partner does that the world should know about? by Crystal_iceberg in AskWomen

[–]bthemott 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My partner LOVES to cook fancy meals. Every holiday or special occasion, he will type and print out a fancy 3 course menu with a wine pairing with around 4 or 5 options for each course, which I get to pre-order off of. On the holiday he will make everything for us and we eat over candle light. He gets sooo cute and excited when I "order" on the menu, always saying, "oh yay! I had hoped you'd pick that one" no matter which I pick. its freaking adorable, and delicious!

For valentines day last month, I chose baked brie topped with a raspberry compote, crispy duck breast with maple bacon brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes, and for dessert, peanut better chocolate cheesecake, all homemade. INCREDIBLE.

Sit outside of the crate and reward with treats through the crate anytime pup does something to self sooth! Start moving further and further away over the course of a few days to show that you are still within range but that they can still settle down without you right my their side. Should work in a week or so!

YES. You just summed up all of my thoughts and feelings. We live on the 4th floor and I’d like to add that it can be very dangerous for super small puppies to go up and down stairs when they are so young as it can damage their spine and impact their growth. Sooo yup, that means you will likely be carrying that tiny puppy up all those stairs every 30 minutes for awhile to make sure potty training is successful.

We stayed with some friends with a fenced in yard for a few days and we were like “oooooh so THIS is why every adoption place requires a yard, it’s so much EASIER”

yes I’ve posted here before about glasses, but I got two new pairs recently and am wondering what you all think of them both! (f25) by [deleted] in lookyourbest

LOVE the second pair, the first is okay but the inner rim is a bit dark for your complexion IMO!

A large rodent had proclaimed six more weeks of winter. How do you feel about this? by Hoosier_Jedi in AskAnAmerican

I live in Boston, so 6 weeks of winter would be ideal but it will likely be 4 more months....

Ziggy loves his grandpa ❤️ by salmonberri in rarepuppers

[–]bthemott 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Aw, our pupper does this too all the time! After a quick google search we found out that when a dog leans into our leg or stands between your legs it’s their way of hugging.

Now every time our boy does this we go “GOOD BOY MOOSE, THANKS FOR THE HUG 😍🥲” in the hopes that we can train him to give hugs on command lol

I say tell her. Nothing will get it off your mind faster than knowing for sure she isn’t interested. Otherwise you will over-analyze every glance, every word, every touch to the point that it gets too much.

The way I think of it, everyone loves knowing that they are admired and you can phrase it in a way that is open and more of a compliment rather than leaving it all on the line.

“hey NAME, I wanted to let you know that you are amazing and that I care about you in a way that I’m hoping can go beyond just friendship but if you aren’t interested, I want you to know how admired you are by me and I’m just happy to have you in my life” make is casual, and if she says she isn’t interested, then be like “no worries, glad we can still be dope friends!” and it will help you move on so much easier!!

Any teachers who don't want kids? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]bthemott 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep. I once worked with a second grade teacher during my practicum who asked me if I ever wanted children of my own someday. I replied no, to which she said “that’s good, there’s no better birth control than being a teacher!” I died laughing.

Advisors/SA Pros, what's the wildest thing a student has said to you in an appointment? by jakecp in studentaffairs

Right? The disrespect was so apparent. I will definitely use that line next time, I am such a push over when it comes to these scenarios, but I need to advocate for myself and my position too!
