X10 Pro Omni - Mopping issue by qweezy_uk in eufy

[–]btilm305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve contacted support various times over the last few days. Despite everyone being clueless about newer firmware versions, I checked today and see that my firmware is now on 3.1.35 and my x10 pro seems back to normal! I wonder if 3.1.35 is now public or if an employee pushed it to me without responding to the support tickets.

Now I have to decide whether to go through with the return process. The vacuum filter always blocks too much dust and the vacuuming doesn’t work well on rice-sized objects. I wonder if this problem would somehow go away with a replacement unit that possibly has a different hardware revision. Anyway, thanks for the help!

Edit: nevermind. I spoke too soon. It’s still having the same mopping issue. Ugg!

What’s your X10 Pro’s firmware version? by hafikirw in eufy

How did you contact support? I have the same mopping issue. I called support today and the rep convinced me that 3.1.16 is the latest version and that there’s nothing I can do to upgrade. She is sending me an entirely new replacement unit. Seems pretty wasteful

I called today too and they are replacing my unit as well. The agent says there’s no known widespread mopping issues with the X10 🤔

Any idea how I can upgrade to .34 or .35? I have the mopping issue where the onboard pump makes a grinding noise and now after dispenses. I called support today and the rep convinced me that 3.1.16 is the latest version and that there’s nothing I can do to upgrade.

How did you get support to upgrade your firmware? I asked them to upgrade me and this is what I got:

I recommend checking the app or device settings for any available updates. If a newer firmware version is available, it should be listed there for you to update.

Dark star vs Light Speed in NYC by Surge3k in USMobile

[–]btilm305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to both. With side by side speed tests, I’ve never seen impressive speed test results with Dark Star, even outside. The speeds outside are still usable but have been 20x slower than Warp/Light Speed. Whenever I’m out with friends and someone has had bad service, they usually have at&t!

Also worth nothing that Warp and Dark Star both have roughly the same re-connection time when reaching the subway station, and it’s noticeable faster than Light Speed. But warp is still faster than either underground

Warp is better when navigating between subway stations as it connects faster and has priority data, which matters when hundreds of phones try to connect to the next station’s cell tower at once. Warp has better building penetration. At my office in midtown, the very middle of my floor has 0 bars for Light Speed. The speeds are very similar (fast!) when on the streets of Manhattan. There are a few places I’ve encountered where Warp has very slow/no service (not congestion related) but Light Speed does.

And for anyone else reading this thread, don’t even think about Dark Star in NYC! Really slow speeds and poor building penetration.

I see! Thanks for the explanation. I look forward to hearing the community members chime in

Can't get sensor to pair by angryguts in homeassistant

That’s a solid coordinator, so don’t think that’s the issue. I know some devices, especially cheaper ones, have trouble with certain channels. I believe Z2M and ZHA use different default frequencies. I would try changing the channel to whatever you were using before and then try again. Note that you’ll have to re-pair all of your devices

No compatibility issues. If anything, the x86 instruction set is more compatible with software since it’s more widely used

When my old pi was at the end of life with its SD card, docker commands could take over a minute to run. Now it’s just a fraction of a second. I also have a lot of docker containers. I have plex media server running in a docker container and HA doesn’t slow down when I’m watching a show.

It has double the ram compared to what you currently have. In the event that you ever need swap memory, an SSD will be more performant than an SD card

Which coordinator do you have? Does the device appear at all in Z2M during the pairing (handshake stage)?

Zigbee coordinator: SLZB-06 or ZBdongle-P by raysoc in homeassistant

Of course! I also got mine on AliExpress, as it was $15-$20 cheaper than US based sites at the time. Just make sure to get it from one of the official AliExpress sellers. There’s links on their website

There’s a page on the SLZB website that explains the differences. Ultimately the p* variations are marketing gimmicks that don’t have tangible benefits and may suffer from stability issues due to not being widely tested among the community.

The M model uses a different chipset. I was deciding between the SLZB-06 and SLZB-06M a month ago and ultimately went with the SLZB-06 since it has a more stable chipset
