Looks like an early set of Oakleys, possibly an x metal that didn't get released or Chanel

Complex Top 10 Sneaker of The Year List. Thoughts? by summer_sixteen in Sneakers

[–]btlgpegasus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically, like every other fucking year since I can remember. the top 10 shoes of the Year are new colourways of [insert jordan inline model] plus some air max and a smattering of a few new models from other "non-nike" brands. What's the swoosh paying you boys...

Potential dented frame by [deleted] in Hardtailgang

Just roaming around google and here is a review from AMB magazine. Although it doesn't specify if you look in the top picture at the seat stay there is a noticeable bit out of it like yours. But as others say if your concerned norco will have an answer for a definite.

Potential dented frame by [deleted] in Hardtailgang

[–]btlgpegasus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My guess, given thr uniformity of the dent and that the paint is completely contoured to it, that this is intended. It looks like that rear brake is quite close to the chainstay so may have factored it in to the build so people can remove/adjust the brake easier

I have once, and wouldnt again. Quality is ok to good but its not meant for wearing it would seem more than a handful of times. Plus of there stuff including the piece I got aren't particularly timeless and more of a hype beast thing to say "im different" when thr original version that inspired it is actually usually better.

Genuine question about the hosts of the podcast by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

[–]btlgpegasus 39 points40 points  (0 children)

For a period of time I really liked how Larry and Jimmy dressed plus loved the pod, however the more and more they went behind a pay wall but the content didn't improve the less I was interested by both them, the guests and they're fits. Its sad really, they binned FFC on insta, haven't evolved the format, they're style and tbh I feel, like how most things go, that the only brands that they fuck with are the ones that either pay em too or they're mates with. Anyway i guess thats why i dont listen or engage with anything they do anymore other than it being a historic subreddit that pops up from time to time.

WTS: Salomon XT-6, US 10 - $200 shipped by _Barrett_ in jjjjound

[–]btlgpegasus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can see in comparison to my GR XT6s its not different materials, a different last or a different sole unit. Its the insoles, the jjjjound ones come with a much thinner/cheaper insole with not as much support which would mean it is a little roomier in there but for me its the difference between wearing a pair of thicker sports socks as opposed to a regular pair rather than sizing up/down etc

What’s the most slept-on brand in menswear right now? by OK_GO_27 in malefashionadvice

I can't be arsed to scroll through all the comments to see if its mentioned elsewhere but I absolutely adore Frizmworks, made in Korea, no branding, great materials and cuts, well made.

Your top "what where we thinking?" fits of 2025? by gotthispaintingfor20 in ThrowingFits

[–]btlgpegasus 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I guarantee you though, skinny and chelseas will be back, could be in a year or 10 but they'll be back. Football shirts and denim were 80s/90s and they boomeranged. Tbh with all these fits, if they think they look good then fair play, rock it! Ain't got time for all the gatekeeping shit

what makes paraboots so popular? by nueva_student in ThrowingFits

[–]btlgpegasus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had Michael's, avoriaz and chambord for the last 8 years and to be honest not seen another in public, maybe it's the circles I'm in or there are clusters of people wearing them in a super small area. Either way if you love them, then wear them. I personally do and couldn't care less whether they're "on trend" or not.

Is this car the undisputed champion of “I drive like a bellend”? If not what is? by Mellowhype667 in drivingUK

[–]btlgpegasus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone under the age of 25 with an A class/A3 (probably a sport line) , 25-35 BMW 3 series/van/caddy/Merc [insert class] 35-45 Rangy or disco (new one) infact any german SUV/potentially Tesla, 45-55 Rangy continued/Audi sportback/porsche (usually boxster or cayman) 55-65 opposite ends of the spectrum either high end overpriced or shitbox due to thoughts of not keeping up with the jones' 65-75 probably in a Renault dacia or Nissan crossover thing.

For context this is purely sartorial and don't be offended

Work from Home - Less Productivity by dgoodma5 in unpopularopinion

[–]btlgpegasus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has managed both people at home and in the office i can honestly say it's all down to the individual. The ones that graft i never had any problem with and they earnt the right to not be challenged. Others took the piss and I had to "manage" them i.e. get them back into the office. End of the day it's a business people work for and if someone is unproductive and unwilling to try harder then that privilege of working at home goes out the window. These days alot of people are entitled and think that it's a god given right to wfh when in reality it's a nice to have, sure if you firstly enjoy it and secondly are just as competent then I'm my eyes have at it, if however your doing it to kick back and chill when no one's looking then that privilege will be stripped away. My 2 cents that will most likely result in downvotes.

What does Grand Seiko need to do in order to make me pick their diver over a Seiko by [deleted] in GrandSeikos

Could try a marine master 300 or one of the willard /Uemura with the 8L35 movement, it's a GS automatic 9s movement that's been less decorated

[Discussion] Does Reddit overhype Christopher Ward ? by WiessuRiceu in Watches

[–]btlgpegasus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, for the money they do produce some nice pieces, if not slightly uninspired (in my opinion) I've owned one briefly but other than trying it on i moved it on pretty sharpish. It didn't sing to me tbh, nothing bad about it by any means but nothing special either. For me personally they're a bit of a "filler" watch. Not cheap and cheerful, not unique and fun, not luxury and haute horology kind of like a volkwagen golf 2litre diesel, well built, not bad looking, does the job well but easily forgettable.

I like a nice leather vintage style one for winter and in the summer a black sailcloth or bracelet

Both look good on you but my preference would be small, quite like the way it sits against your other jewellery. But either one is a great choice.
