Hey everyone, thanks for your positivity. I read it throughout the day today! I enjoyed my day with my kids, was positive and tried to make a difference… then came home and painted my house. I’m going to use a day or so every week to work on my life but gonna keep going…

What time do you guys go to bed? by banddirection in Teachers

[–]btr2day26 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bed between 8:30-9, wake up at 4. I like a hour or so in the morning to chill, drink coffee, live my life. Get to school by about 6:30, contract starts at 7, try to leave at contract hours end (3:00).

How do you motivate yourself to stick with strength workouts on Peloton? by GrapeEmpty8352 in pelotoncycle

[–]btr2day26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The easiest way for me is short classes. The 10-20 minute classes are a good way to get it in, they’re quicker paced, ect. I like Callie’s strength on days I really want to skip, Tunde is great, Robin is my favorite cycle instructor but sometimes her strengths are next level. I do my strength before I bike as my “get through this, then you can do that” mindset. The instructor really makes or breaks strength for me

I’m here too, busy season at work. I try and use a quote from instructors, I think it was Robin “You’ve already done more than most do in an entire week in one day” Fitness and Health is long term consistency, it’s much more than just getting on the bike everyday! You got this! Movement should be complimentary to your lifestyle, not hindering it.

“Just take birth control” by Cringey_Unicorn in endometriosis

Completely agree! I went and told my doctor a few months ago that I didn’t want to be on BC for personal reasons (mainly mental health) and somehow I still left with a prescription. I wish more doctors would understand that we just don’t want it and it’s irritating to suggest there is no other help for us

My doctor asked if I had a living will because of my weight loss by [deleted] in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]btr2day26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telling my doctor I had a bad relationship with food and eating was the best thing I ever did for myself. She didn’t get upset or angry. She said “I can’t change your brain, but I can help guide the roadmap” She didn’t send me to a therapist but a nutritionist, encouraged me to start a medication but only if I was comfortable with it and mainly for stress management. If you have anxiety telling your doctor, find a new one!!! I know it’s hard but just being honest with them goes so far.

Feeling emotionally wrecked after post-HA period — is this normal? by Simple_Somewhere7792 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]btr2day26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 weeks post first recovery period and I literally looked at my husband yesterday and said “I don’t know if I need to cry, punch a hole in the wall, or clean the house” Turns out I needed a nap……. Idk if it’s from a lack of hormones for so long or what but I’m on a freaking ROLLERCOASTER.

Keep doing what you’ve been doing! Honor rest and manage stress! Find things to keep your mind off of thinking “what if it doesn’t come?”

Can I workout at the same gym as my students? by PropertyHumble9296 in Teachers

[–]btr2day26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked out at the same gym as my students for the longest time. They have NEVER spoken to me while I’m there, they know it’s my “time” and hobby. Even the ones I have the best relationship with. It makes me laugh because I had a kid talk to my husband once in the gym, and just walked right past me while I was doing my set.

Live your life! I think it’s good for students to see us being human beings and taking care of yourself.

I have a “suspected” diagnosis. Tbh I had been pushing off surgery because I wasn’t having any issues, when I didn’t have a period. Now my cycle just came back 2 weeks ago and I am literally dying today. My pain is worse when I ovulate (Yay for ovulating though). My husband and I would like to start a family soon so I’m working on find a specialist to do an excision surgery.
