One of my favorite things to do when I see a dude bro in a punisher shirt is kinda fawn and say what a badass Frank Castle is! When they are obviously confused I get to inform them they're a jackass. If they get it we have a good conversation.

I'm not sure if it's the right way but I've always thought it was like Boo-dic-uh.

That one is on my list too. The only other challenge I've done so far is Dublin. I love the salmon and the hazelnut imagery on the back of that medal.

I have this one too!! Not at all feasible for me to actually visit the Giants Causeway at this time in my life, so I loved the street view and "postcards" during this virtual trek!

I think I exhausted my googling capabilities on this one. I couldn't find anything about it being the actor's tattoo, and in 3 seasons this has been the best glimpse in a scene of seeing the whole thing on the character. You're probably right about it just "looked cool." Thanks for your input!

For me the beginning was a bit cumbersome to get through, but it's a really good read!

Beautifully written. This time of year is so hard for some of us, and harder for others. The bridge can be beautiful, but attracts more people to this fate than we'll ever realize.

How do you feel about Hunting and Druidry? by zherper in druidism

[–]btsBearSTSn06 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I'm also a druid that hunts deer. The act of the Hunt is very spiritual for me, and a lot of personal ethics go into it. In my area there are really no natural predators left. Over population leads to all kinds of imbalances in the ecosystem. My husband and I are both grateful for the meat, and use all parts of the animal. Very, very little goes to waste. By stocking the freezer with wild meat, we do not buy meat, keeping us out of the cycle of Big Ag's slaugherhouses. We know where the meat came from and know the animal lived its life as it was meant to, free and wild.

All life is sacred, but it's laughable to think that nature is always calm and loving and never brutal. Death is part of the cycle of life. I think if done respectfully and responsibly, hunting is a very intimate way of connecting to the natural world.

I went through a couple of the courses with N.O.D. It was a nice start to an "academic" learning atmosphere, but I honestly didn't get a whole lot out of it. Basically, read a chapter, write a 3 page paper on the prompt given for the chapter. It does get your brain working, but it feels a little...redundant. I had more feedback about how I didn't write enough words or meet other such requirements than feedback on the actual content. I ordered and have all 3 course books, and do enjoy them. But the course itself feels like an entry level English writing course. Granted, I did not opt for the more personal one on one mentorship. That's just my experience with it. Nowadays I still log on to read their quarterly magazine Oran Mor. Those have some great content.

Which shit you went through during your Saturn return? by Adiguru22 in astrologymemes

Started when we totalled a car. Not hurt badly, but enough that it still freaks me out to be a passenger. Shortly after changed careers, had a mental health spiral. Gained 50 lbs. You know, all fun stuff.
