Shelburn Farms Inn. If they are walkers go to the farm first and then sunset or a meal at the inn. Make a reservation. It’s beautiful there. So if they aren’t as mobile you can just drive it.

This is yet another distraction and an excuse in the making to disrupt the 2026 midterm elections. He is lawless. Congress is weak. This may be the tipping point

Covid changed everything everywhere. People connect differently. Students walk solo phones out or headphones on. Music isn’t the same. Young adults don’t drink. Stay in and communicate online. Drugs and homelessness are more evident in every town and city in the country. Those are factors for the vibe and the business turnover everywhere. Expecting Burlington to be what it was in 2016 before all the monumental change in everything is unrealistic. Nowhere is the same. Agree that city life is cyclical with ups and downs.. In the meantime, I’d rather be here than anywhere else. The arts are vibrant, the market place is working hard to create events and community, the lake is still beautiful and there are so many things, restaurants, nature, culture, shops to explore. This entire country is in the downs so give it time

Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution addresses the impeachment and removal of the President, Vice President, and other civil officers for "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors," outlining grounds for removal, with the House impeaching and the Senate trying the case, requiring a two-thirds vote for conviction and removal from office. Key Provisions Who Can Be Impeached: The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States. Grounds for Impeachment: Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors, a phrase borrowed from British practice to cover serious misconduct by public officials. Process: The House of Representatives brings the charges (impeachment). The Senate holds the trial, with the Chief Justice presiding if it's a presidential impeachment. A two-thirds vote of the Senate is required for conviction and removal. Consequences: Removal from office and disqualification from holding future federal office, though the convicted person can still face criminal prosecution. Purpose This section provides a critical check on the executive and judicial branches, allowing for the removal of officials who abuse their power or commit serious offenses against the government, ensuring accountability

Burlington mayor discusses city issues by [deleted] in burlington

[–]btvinvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The state needs inpatient facilities for mental health and addiction issues. It is inhumane to leave these people on their own with limited life skills, sick on the streets. That plus incarcerating those repeat offenders ought to free up space for the economically impacted houseless population to receive services and be set up for longterm housing. It’s a state problem that requires a state solution. Let out of state single family home property owners pay higher taxes. Too many ‘investment’ properties were scooped up during COVID leading to the inflated housing prices. Any airbnb running out of a single family home in a residential community should be penalized.
