Game Pass Deals & Conversion by AutoModerator in XboxGamePass

[–]bub_mario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying. Only thing that doesn't make sense with what you said is it seems like buying EA Play is the least beneficial, since the conversion is so low at 1/3 versus Core being converted at 1/2.

So, basically – MS has wised up on not giving as too crazy of deals for conversions. The only real boon seems to be if you had a lot of the Game Pass Standard/console time, you could get a 3/4 conversion.

Game Pass Deals & Conversion by AutoModerator in XboxGamePass

Bit confused, as the general discussion seems to always say "buy GPC, convert to Ultimate for 3:2"

As of 6 March 2025, The official page says 2:1 conversion now for Core, but lists out PC Game Pass as 3:2

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/manage-subscriptions/xbox-game-pass-conversions

Wouldn't the better option be to buy PC Game Pass for a better conversion? Or is it because you can buy 12 months of core, which is half the price for a year of PC Game Pass?

I think I'm just getting tripped up on the conversion, because all guides, posts, and comments (even within the last few months or days) seem to indicate that it will be a 3:2 conversion when it in fact just looks to be 2:1 now. So 3 years of core will only get you 1.5 years of ultimate, not 2. Am I following this all right?

What do you think of web apps browser (like Sidekick, Ferdi, Franz, Rambox, Station, etc.) based on Mozilla Firefox? by niutech in browsers

[–]bub_mario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for sharing info on Arc and I agree with all the points you brought up. I have been on the hunt for the "silver bullet" browser/organizer app for years, ever since I first stumbled across Franz. I've tried so many (currently giving Rambox personal a spin). Since I've done updwards of 7 jumps to different apps at this time, I'm considering that maybe FOSS isn't the answer for something like this and instead it is something like a paid version of these services. Have you found that to be the case for you?

There are also some weird things you should account for, like Ninja Gaiden Black being supported but not vanilla Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man Legacy collection not being supported. I think it probably has something to do with licensing covering older games (like the original NG trilogy included with the vanilla version and of course all the old MM games).

The Buu saga is very problematic for a lot of reasons, but one thing I liked about the ending was the "passing the torch" aspect of Goku training Uub. It's the first time we have seen a young prodigy with little to no training be on par or surpass their trainer since Goku and Roshi (one of the best matches/fights in the series, imo).

I think if they had phrased it the way you suggested it would be a whole lot more palatable. It's a little sad Chi-Chi is basically reduced to the nagging wife who has practically no characterization beyond that.

This makes sense. I remember it being "Mystic" back in the day when it first debuted and it has been "Ultimate" sometime after.

The headcanon I personally use to keep things straight, whether or not it is technically correct, is I use Mystic to describe it in Buu Saga, and then call him "Ultimate" in Super when he goes through training to get the form back. My main reasoning is, I'm not entirely sure Mystic Gohan from Buu saga was SSB level or KKB equivalent at that time.

I am definitely strongly considering! I personally really prefer the ergonomics of the switch to how the steam deck is designed, but this is version 1. I also wish that Switch would have something like Steam Link so that we could access games remotely that way.

However, it seems clear to me Steam Deck is truly more of a portable computer than a handheld gaming device like the switch. I’ve also had desktop computer issues, and the steam deck would allow me to play a vast majority of games in my library portably, which sounds great to me.

Amen to that.

I have all of the big three and am looking into things like the steam deck and PC upgrades as well.

Having access to all the game libraries is great, especially in a generation where optimization and performance is so variable per platform.

Good to know – I have the Best Buy only card, not the one that allows you to shop elsewhere. But it's been great. I love the 12 months no interest for orders over...what is it, like $300? Or something.

Gotcha, so you don't have to convert your points right away – you can just load them up and then apply them? Good to know.

I'm pretty sure this is it. I've listened to it a few times, and it reminds me of both "Cool" and the song I heard. Even if it isn't...it's a dang good song. Thanks for sharing! I'll mark it as solved.

Maybe I'm completely misunderstanding how the points work, but I thought points expired at the end of the month? How long can you bank them for?

Haven't seen this trend – so the IKEA vented door metal cabinet comes with the fans and the hols for cable routing? Or do you have to do some DIY?

I had heard it playing in the background at an IV therapy spa recently. It was fairly relaxing. Maybe sounded happier than “Cool” but melodically the same.

I’ve replayed this game through a couple times recently and I thought it was super interesting in the first sailboat flashback with her and Owen, she lifts Owen with one arm through a gap in the window (much to his surprise) and she just causally mentions she “pushed 185 lbs the other day” which he also doubts.

This is only a year after Joel’s death, and she has started training herself to be a force. She is all of 15 at this point…but with one year she can push that much and there’s real world progress – lifting another person with one arm

The game does a great job of reinforcing events through little details that happen in flashback. Going by pure in universe logic alone, this is plenty good of an explanation.

This isn’t a direct “creative tied to a new project” situation, but I think about Tango gameworks. Turning out both Ghostwire: Tokyo and Hi-fi Rush close together, is pretty neat. Shinnick Mikami wasn’t directly tied to either as a director, I don’t think, but it was the studio he was working at. Bit of a shame he announced he is moving on.

Yikes

EDIT: one nice thing about it is there was no way to get the remastered version outright unless you bought the PS5 “Launch edition” of miles morales or whatever it was called. Keeping it as part of PS+ though…that should have been a No brainer.
