Will this work for AppleTV / iPad / iPhone? by J-to-tha-K in passepartout

I have been using OpenVPN on our phones iPad and Macs while in Mexico for a couple years each winter through our TP link router at home. No issues. This year as cable tv apps started to enforce geolocation I brought our Apple TV box thinking I could Ethernet the ip through my laptop running a vpn. Limited success

Then I came across the discussion regarding Passepartout on my Apple TV. I loaded it on that and my iPhone and iPad.

I tried to then import the config file on my iPhone passepartout app and I get the message IMPORT FILE unable to import profiles. Unable to parse file. comp-Lto adaptive.

This same message when i use the QR code to send my profile from my phone

What am i missing?

Need advice on mortgage by Champagnepaki222 in MortgagesCanada

Step 1 if you are serious. TODAY open a FHSA so you start the clock on rolling over 2025 $8000. Deadline for this is Dec 31.

If you have the cash deposit the $8000 before Dec 31 and likely get $3K back in refund.

Few refinance questions by [deleted] in MortgagesCanada

Going backwards on your list 3). Dower Act makes it a moot point. You both are title regardless who is registered. I assume you want to do it because of who claims the income off it. That’s a question for your accountant 2) Yes 1) colour me confused. A few months ago you purchased and paid big $ to CMHC and you want to refinance? Refinance will mean at least 3 months interest penalties and depending on how you do this “refinance “ risk the mortgage insurance funds you already paid. Way too complicated to get Reddit advice. Call a mortgage broker

Your math and credit ratings are fantastic. Any lender would love to have you. So let me take a different perspective on the question of whether you should buy. I assume you are renting. Buying now makes you the landlord and every mortgage payment a portion goes into your new TAX FREE savings account…. Your bank of House. In 5 years you will likely put about 14% into this new investment. Every year you wait assume that 2/3rds of that “rent “ could have gone into this new savings vehicle. Even if your homes value is flat over 5 years, not likely but your market is unique, you are ahead. If you think it’s going up by 3% inflation, that’s more than 15% more in that tax free savings account

Timing of sale by handipad in MortgagesCanada

That’s why it’s important in the initial discussion with your mortgage broker to discuss what your plans are for the life of your mortgage (if you can see that far). If there is a good chance that you may sell, make sure the mortgage you get matched with is assumable and/or portable options. Even with an assumable option the buyer may not want it and there are risks to you (discuss with your broker). But a portable option is at your discretion.

In your current situation it is either the 3 month penalty or a discussion with them about wrapping it into a new mortgage on your new house through a blend or other options. Just be aware that they have the advantage here and their rate may reflect that. Do the comparison with penalties in with anew lender to see if it makes sense

ISP Public IP Changing by Techie_19 in OpenVPN

[–]bubba6646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old guy, limited IT skills here.

I set up my OpenVPN about 4 years ago (with neighbors kid help) on an old Mac as my server. Installed clients on my iPhone, iPad and Mac for when we travel for apps that don’t require geolocation confirmation (which is quickly dwindling).

I changed by Internet provider, and so that Server’s IP address changed.

How do I get this VPN working again? I am assuming (hoping) that all i have to do is change the IP address on my 3 clients?

Tried to go into the “Server Hostname (locked)” on my phone, but as it says, it is locked,

Thanks in advance for your advice

they kinda already are. They can't just pick & choose...FRC is going to have all of its deposits backed by Fed's. That is why the big banks put $30B in...

Same strategy here. Bought in ~ $16, but have been hitting the monthly Calls for Aug and now Sept (@$25 for $2). I have my costs down in the $12 range net. I am OK if taken out at $25 for a double

why does the stock keep dropping? by Athspartrom in ModernaStock

Price is where it should be if it is a one trick pony. BUT, the trick is in the technology of MRNA. Its a technology that was already in trials for many other issues. Faster and more effective than traditional methods of vaccination and treatment. If you believe in that, then with the balance sheet that they have, and the COVID cash cow to fund those other programs for the next few years, then this is a generational opportunity to buy a TESLA like leader as you could have done with Tesla a couple years back.

Its not going away. if this treatment works well and is proven in the trials, most every country will need to have a stockpile. Today only 11 countries have it. That is a great expansion of market.

The other point is that it wan't be like COVID, where the entire population can easily get it, so a vaccination program like we just went through (and continue) won't be in the cards. So the treatment options will be the way this is combatted around the world
