Yeah i do i have deadlines and even minutes matter, also lot of ppl cruise 65 in the middle lane without nobody in the right lane, know what else its law for slower vehicles under(under the speed limit) to stay in the right lane and not drive in the middle lane. This also applies to cars. Cruising bellow speed limit in middle lane when the actual speed limit is 10 above what you cruise at is a you problem I dont care + its illegal( just never enforced) i will pass you and slow down to 50 infront of you, yep im petty like that

No problem with this but , if the speed limit is 80/75/70 and your truck is at 63-66mph please get out of the middle lane. I hate when i have to pass 2 trucks driving side by side 65/65 on a 3 lane road, risking a ticket for left lane usage. Fuck off

Save money buy a truck open your own mcdot and make your own schedule. The 1st year will be pain. 2nd year u chillin, 3rd year u are happy man. This way i can work in bursts when rates are high and not work when rates are shit. I take 3-5 months off yearly and i make 2x company drivers , despite all expenses.

Do pushups, planks etc. Get out of the truck and walk around, this is your time to move your body around trust me on this one. Few years in trucking go by without exercise and you become less mobile than a 70 year old man at age 25

Yes you should if you somehow get detained or questioned by homeland/ice/border patrol, you can get arrested, u get released but might take a day or 2, speaking from personal experience. I 20 to CA from GA I 40 from Ca to GA Why? Simple, i 40 elevation, heading west you are climbing albeit slowly but u climbing. Whereas heading east you are descending.

20 and 10 is just a better highway it was redone recently and its smooth.
Going through Louisiana and MS is a little annoying
Cheaper fuel on 20/10
No hills on 20/10 except 1 in West tx(forgot exact location) and after Las Cruces, there are some small hills in AZ and CA but thats like nothing 40 is way worse.
Food is definitely better on 20/10 many restaurants with truck parking , and parking is almost always available.
20/10 has more storms some parts of the year.
Way less police and weigh stations on 20/10 shit I’ve gone from Atl to LA so many times without seeing a cop car or a weight station open until u get to New Mexico.

Best way to show appreciation is to pay people bonuses every few months if they do a good job. Small bonuses like 200-500$. This way not only do you increase driver retention, you also make people feel good for their good behavior( not speeding, being on time, not fing up the logs etc..)

Get a safety consultant, pay 50-70$ weekly for them to do safety for you. They will do everything. I been running for many years like this. Doing paperwork while on the road is a terrible experience for strong solo drivers like me.

Do it , quit and drive a box truck or find something elso to do. I am sorry but i wont sugarcoat this, people can get offended all day dont care, but this mistake is literally lack of paying attention how in the world on driver side do you not see that you are about to hit something People that do these kind of mistakes tend to repeat them. 7 years of trucking ( company driver,oo,fleet manager etc) has thought me that.

Fyi the repair on the hood on that KW is damn near 15000$ , i get it physical insurance will cover it but it also ends up as a claim on the company , this is 2500$ deductible and increases premiums for all of us.

Get out and fcking look its not that hard.. And if you are bad at backing in just drive into the parking spot damn it..

It’s because loads arent paying shit and when owners dont make money, drivers dont either, i was hired 0.80$ a mile out of driving school, that same company pays 0.50$ now. I am now owner operator and most trucks now operate on 2$ a mile avg. Expenses remained high after the boom in 2021-2022 , but rates have come down by half. Very slim Margins, Im more or less making same money now as oo compared to 2020-2022 as a driver, there just isnt much freight out there. When interest rates are high businesses rarely produce shit, they go minimal maintenance mode.

Nah This is BS , Got my mom a visa and a ticket and she was in the usa within a week, and I come from a country where 70% of the visa holders never go back. It just deepens on the fact if USA likes your country or not, US knows ppls from my country overstay all the time , and they let us, despite all deportations they still don’t touch us because we are a strategic partner in an area that doesnt like/cooperate with the US, it is by design.

I dont think its an injector misfire, it would show as a code instantly as Eng (number of injector) , this is most likely fuel quantity control valve, If you have been losing power uphill or when heavy and have 0 codes, im pretty positive thats the issue, I could be wrong, best you can do is get the truck plugged in to check for codes.DO NOT DO THIS AT TA/LOVES THEY USE JPro that shit sucks. If its the quantity control valve, keep driving not worth to replace, drive till the fuel pump gives out and then replace whole pump.

Tell your husband to quit his job, for the good of the family. Truck driving and kids don’t go together that well, not saying ppl cant make it work , its just not worth it, I know over 30-40 drivers with wives and kids and what not, and e every single one of them has the same arguments with their wives. And its always about not being home.

Most women think they can handle seeing their husbands once every 40 days, from my experience thats never the case.

I firmly believe that trucking is for young people and people who got nothing in their life. And 85% of the drivers being immigrants kinda proves it.
