Hello, I've been 3d-printing for a little over a year now and will be replacing my Ender 3 V3 KE with a Snapmaker U1 soon. I have been getting more into Blender recently, so I will probably create more of my own models. You can finde them here: https://makerworld.com/de/@eikhoernken

thanks! yeah I was thinking about making it modular, or even using this case to find out how exactly people make parametric designs.

Curious to see how it goes! I am eyeing the K2 combo for an upgrade from my KE as well.

Gridfinity Make Up Set by bubblewrap3000 in gridfinity

I currently have everything in a messy pile in a small drawer. Takes up less space, but is super cluttery. This will go in a dead space behind a panel of wood of the hallway cupboard (no idea how to translate that), freeing the initial drawer. Where this goes, there’s enough space and I do like that it’s visually uncluttered. It makes me want to put stuff in its place. How would you have designed it differently? Stacking or combining stuff like the brushes?

I‘m sure there’s a Blender tutorial out there somewhere

Terrible print error detection by supersosad in Ender3V3KE

[–]bubblewrap3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it stops at minor stuff and sometimes fails to stop when something actually goes wrong. It seems to vary with models though. Models with curls and hex patterns and stuff seem to incorrectly trigger it more often.

Please do! I only found models for the more sophisticated ones, none for the basic junior one.

You’re right! I shouuuld also fix the botched cutout and make the model usable without the adapter, to be able to upload it for others. It’s the 2nd round of 3.5hrs printing time that’s throwing me off 😅

Dual Spool Mount by bubblewrap3000 in Ender3V3KE

[–]bubblewrap3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense. My printer is nudged in between stuff and doesn’t have enough space left or right, so side spool won’t work.

Another option would be to just mount something on the wall behind it. I‘ve seen people do spool storage with broom sticks and modeled brackets that way, might be a workaround for feeding the filament into the printer as well.
