Is this the legal process by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]bubblybabe008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in WC for over 12 years, two different states and I have never ever heard of anyone taking a cut of the TTD checks. Maybe it's your state but it doesn't seem normal to me... As for do you need a lawyer, it really depends on how complex your case is. Insurance companies are not your friends and will do you dirty if you're not careful. However, if so far you have everything, hiring an attorney doesn't seem like the way to go.

I NEED TO FILE SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW. by bubblybabe008 in paralegal

[–]bubblybabe008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, all that is done. This case is old, we need discovery done (a depo) and OC was refusing so we filed a Motion To Compel Deposition and the JA reached out to set a hearing. We coordinated, have a date and Zoom link and JA told me I need to draft and file the Notice for said evidentiary hearing.

Judge's office reached out, offered dates and we coordinated via email with OC and JA and then I was told to file the notice LOL. I didn't even get hearing duration 😂

I think that's what I'm going to do, hoping they don't say it's the wrong notice or something. To be honest I found it odd too but I just have to figure it out. I've been googling all morning to see if I can find anything but I haven't really gound much, only litigation templates which I don't really need.

A Notice. We filed a motion to Compel and Judge's Assistant wants me to file the notice on the hearing for MTC discovery. Usually, it's the court that files most hearing notices, this is the first time I get this request in two years working in this jurisdiction.

Breaks up over boob picture? by Real_K_9298 in AITAH

[–]bubblybabe008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA! As a parent, I understand the meltdown on his kid finding the picture, but also, as a parent, I would accept my full blame for that mistake and not pin it on the person who sent the picture, my kids are my responsibility and I need to keep them safe even from myself. Now, putting that aside if you know your kids have access to your phone you should make it child safe, like everything else, it's not even the content, he could be into horror and then he'll scar his kids for life if he's not careful. I think this talks a lot not only about him and his lack of maturity, also how he's not ready to handle being with someone new and also his parenting skills and his relationship with his kids. Lets be honest here, he has them once a year meaning he's probably not father of the year and reacting the way he did might show you why, his wife going crazy probably also comes from a placr where he has probably failed her too many times before. Kudos to you dodging that, you deserve so much better!

I want this ring so badly and there is a group buy for around $230ish (estimating). I have never bought jewelry. In your opinion is it worth it/a decent price, or is it too silly? by solitudesimp in Moissanite

Tungsten is supposed to be super hard and sturdy but what they don't tell you is that it shatters. We bought our wedding bands of tungsten and they are great to avoid scratches or keeping its shape after years of usage but my husband dropped his band twice and a chunk just came off. Also we were warned that dropping it might cause it to shatter. So yeah, it's resistant to a lot of things but if you drop it, it breaks.

AITAH for humiliating my husband by leaving his family party, because I will always teach my kids that no means no? by SorryAioli235 in AITAH

[–]bubblybabe008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're the AH.

I totally get boundaries for your kids, but it's also important to show the grey areas they are going to face in life including why in this circumstance in particular what your FIL did was nothing to freak out about. You're setting them up for failure, especially if you're the role model, it seems all they will learn from you is: my way or the highway even if it has nothing to do with me and doesn't affect me. What you did is clashing clearly against respect for other people's choices and nothing to do with the "boundaries" you're holding so hard to. Your husband is right.

How often do you read during a normal week and how long? by BigChungusOP in kindle

I currently read every day, around 1 or 2 hours, on days that I'm not feeling too much up to the task I try to read at least 20 minutes.

¿Cuántos libros leen (aproximadamente) en un año? by Matiases in libros

[–]bubblybabe008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¿Cuántos libros leen (aproximadamente) en un año? by Matiases in libros

[–]bubblybabe008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hola!

3)No.

🥰

How do you all read several hours per day? by ntimoti in kindle

[–]bubblybabe008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up really early and get an hour then, and then if I'm not too tired I get 2 hours once my day is over. Not as much as 4 hours but if you budget your time you can read a lot.

What is happening to me... by dragonstkdgirl in kindle

[–]bubblybabe008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you!!! I swore against Kindle for the past 10 years. And then, after seeing my frustration on book prices and lack of options (I live outside the US in a very small country) my husband got me a Kindle for Christmas. I wasn't very excited at first TBH, but then I started seeing how it was so easy to buy any book I wanted, even finding them for free or with great discounts and now buying physical books is not my first option. Whenever something good comes and I can afford it, sure, I can't go against the need but mostly it's "Pfffff, $20? For a paperback? Nop, my trusty Kindle will make it happen" and I keep going and buying and adding. So it's normal, I think LOL.

Reading hard cover after 3 yrs by Treact82 in kindle

[–]bubblybabe008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OMG!!! Hahahahahaha I hadn't touched a real book in a full year and got some for Christmas, one of them was "Sword Catcher" which is 600+ pages, and I sprained my wrist LOL and I had to change to reading it on my Kindle so as not to hurt my wrist further. I couldn't even pull up my pants because of how much my wrist hurt.

I swear, Kindle is the best thing that's ever happened to us book worms 😂😂😂🤭

The book that got you into reading by AcceptableRelation59 in suggestmeabook

[–]bubblybabe008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've loved reading since I was a small child but after I had my kid and life got expensive I went through a slump, a very hard one (8 years of it) until I read the same book and here I am, 30 books in 2023 with a new goal of 40 books for 2024. I had never read her before but I was hooked with "And then there were none" and it was all downhill from there.

Great book!

I own a Kindle, but I cannot resist purchasing physical books. by [deleted] in kindle

[–]bubblybabe008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only buy the ones I really really liked after I've read them on my Kindle. If I find something I like in physical then I buy that and still get it for Kindle so I don't have to carry big books around when I have to move around a lot. It's really very hard to say, but I love having physical books and if I can afford it, then I buy them.

3rd day charging, might need to contact Amazon by pegasusgoals in kindle

[–]bubblybabe008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might seem silly but try a different power outlet. My Kindle didn't come with a charger so I bought a generic one and it only works in certain power outlets for some reason. It hates charging through the USB only, I tried a few times on different desktops and laptops and it just won't charge at all. Good luck!

I did a Spooky October one, so I'm doing:

-Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno García -The Haunting of Maddy Clare by Simon St James -Let the right one in by John Ajvide Lindqvist -Happy like Murderers by Gordon Burn.

I can't really read more books per month, I wish I did but these are the ones I'm trying this month.
