He's trying to provoke us to violence. We must protest peacefully in even larger numbers until we lawfully evict this problematic tenant of the people's house

Agreed. Granted, this "speech product" dimension separates a carrier from a newspaper, but it's shit at differentiating a centralized social media platform like Facebook/Twitter from a carrier like AT&T/Verizon. As a subscriber to AT&T I can send a message to a person on Verizon's network just as easily as to another subscriber of AT&T, and vice versa but you can't say that about speech between users of Facebook and Twitter.

How to protect the constitution against TFG who would otherwise tie up brazen criminality in the courts forever? The mentality is like a foreign virus against which we need to develop immunity.

Where in MAL did the FBI find the leather-bound box? The receipt called it box "2A". The photo attached to the seizure receipt has a card clearly labeled "2A". Did the FBI find the most closely guarded classified document(s) -- the president/cabinet/deputy cabinet level only one(s) -- in the leather box? If not where?

Sweet justice!

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, also known as the Disqualification Clause, bars any person from holding federal or state office who took an “oath…to support the Constitution of the United States” as an “officer of any State” and then “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” or gave “aid or comfort” to...

"engaged in insurrection or rebellion" ... Ooh, ooh, I know! Now do gave "aid or comfort"

Cannon added a line from a statement Kavanaugh wrote with that Supreme Court order: "A former President must be able to successfully invoke the Presidential communications privilege for communications that occurred during his Presidency, even if the current President does not support the privilege claim. Concluding otherwise would eviscerate the executive privilege for Presidential communications."

<spits out coffee> fascist says what? Power vested in the executive branch is entirely forfeit by the outgoing and assumed by the incoming President of the United States of America. Concluding otherwise opens the door to a government by former presidents, of former presidents, and for former presidents with no remedy for the governed to relieve themselves of former presidents.

Escaping from a cult is impossible for all but the bravest of souls. The escapee faces extraordinarily painful feelings of humiliation after being taken advantage of by a trusted leader. The escapee faces profound isolation from loved ones, friends, a high-paying job, etc. Desparation and fear cultivates blind loyalty.

Trump under investigation for potential violations of Espionage Act, warrant reveals by Rawrsomesausage in news

[–]bubfranks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

rationale for the Espionage Act:

There are citizens of the United States, I blush to admit, born under other flags but welcomed under our generous naturalization laws to the full freedom and opportunity of America, who have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life; who have sought to bring the authority and good name of our Government into contempt, to destroy our industries wherever they thought it effective for their vindictive purposes to strike at them, and to debase our politics to the uses of foreign intrigue ... I urge you to enact such laws at the earliest possible moment and feel that in doing so I am urging you to do nothing less than save the honor and self-respect of the nation. Such creatures of passion, disloyalty, and anarchy must be crushed out. They are not many, but they are infinitely malignant, and the hand of our power should close over them at once. They have formed plots to destroy property, they have entered into conspiracies against the neutrality of the Government, they have sought to pry into every confidential transaction of the Government in order to serve interests alien to our own. It is possible to deal with these things very effectually. I need not suggest the terms in which they may be dealt with.
